I struggled with the acceptance of being ok with being a nerd from the hood. Understanding that wanting to learn and be something other than what was put in front of me was ok. We have to change the mentality in the hood that people who seek out knowledge and books are lame, and educate the hood and spectators that black people, and people of color is more than athletes and entertainers.

I don't ask for the same for that was placed on black lives matter to be placed on the terroist that attacked the capital building, but i am asking for the same restraint and leisure given to my BLM people. I see a huge gap with the treatment of people of color vs white "protesters" let all lives truly matter and live as one fair complete country.

This year has been hard and full of unpredictable moments, but through it all, we have rough it. It's time to close off 2020, taking all the lessons and eye-opening things it shown us and building off of that. Life is ongoing, so we must not let this keep us stuck. We will have relapse and PTSD, but we must lean on the lessons and wins that we did have.
