Prof Dion walks us throught what it truly means to be hospitable. How does that differ to having the Spiritual gift of hospitality, and how can you practise this, today.

Prof Dion shares this profound idea with us, that God trusts us more than we trust Him. God trusts us, and gives us both responsibility, and care and protection. It reminds us that we have a relational God who wants our best, but also wants us to 'grow' and 'grow up' in responsibility, strength, ability, confidence, and faith.

Prof Dion walks us through ‘peace of mind, and a mind at peace’, taking a look at Philippians 4 verse 4-9.

Recognition is a core human need - we long to be seen, truly seen. But, of course, that also requires some risk and honesty. Risk is common in the multimedia space, but not honesty. We try to ‘show’ people who we want them to think we are. God sees us as we are, and loves us into wholeness and flourishing.

Dion shared powerfully how we all form part of a great story. and he shares how he found God’s comfort and provision in this quote from Stanley Hauerwas: “The story that makes the Jesus people a storied people is the story of God and God’s unfailing love for us. How extraordinary. How wonderful. It really is not all about ‘us’. It is about God. A God not rendered powerless by events…”

Prof Dion takes us on a journey around Matthew 6, from verse 25...do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes" So if we know the truth, why are we still often times filled with fear, worry and anxiety?

How content are you with what you have and where you are? Are you at peace and how much are you aspiring to achieve? Prof Dion asks us some challenging questions...

Prof Dion shares from John 5, about the healing of the lame man at the pool of Bethesda, as well as from Matthew 9 about the person who was carried by his friends to Jesus when he was paralyzed, and he was healed because of their faith. Dion shares about times where he was carried in faith by others, and times when he needed to carry others towards their healing.

Prof Dion shares on how people struggled to recognize Jesus as the Messiah, because he worked ‘among’ them. They were looking for something else, someone else, and so they missed his miracles! What are we missing out on in our own lives? How are me missing the hand of God?

John 6:1-14 - Can you actually do anything to change the world? Do you have enough agency, enough resources, enough ‘reach’ and ‘influence’? The story of the loaves and the fishes are an important lesson for us - God uses what we have to achieve God’s will, not what we cannot have or do not have. We are enough, as long as we are obedient, faithful, and generous.

Prof DIon shares from Colossians 3:23-24 and reminds us as workers that we do it for God glory.

Prof Dion shares a powerful and personal story of the determination to succeed as the Chosen, and the tension created between that, and having the freedom to choose.

Prof Dion reminds us of how our generous God invites US to live generously. This is about more than money, it is about positivity, openness, trust, freedom, joy, hope and love.

Prof Dion walks us through details of what happened on the Thursday before Good Friday and helps us see a bit deeper into what this really means for us.

Prof Dion takes us on a journey to discover the importance of being ‘people of peace’ who live like Jesus, the ‘prince of peace’.

Prof Dion emphasizes God’s promise of goodness, and our part in God’s promise. God promised a good future, and we have the privilege of being part of God’s plan to secure that goodness for God’s glory, the good of others, and our own blessing and destiny.

How God deals with our sin: Dion helps us focus on the balance between three important aspects; loving grace, loving justice, and loving responsibility, in other words, what needs to be done, what God does, what we should do.

Prof Dion walks us through being a Disciple and the what it takes to make a Disciple.

We might not be able to do everything, or have every gift or ability. Buy, God places us among others to do our bit, and be blessed when others do their bit! Like Moses and Aaron!

This past Wednesday was Ash Wednesday, and lent has begun. Prof Dion talks about the ‘beginning of happiness’ (Jeremiah 17:5-10 and Psalm 1). The idea is that happiness is not a goal, but a ‘fruit’ and we gain happiness by being ‘rooted’ in good soil.

Prof Dion works through Mark 1:14-20, the calling of the disciples. He reflects on what it means when God calls us - the blessing, but also the courage to respond, and how to remain faithful when we might doubt. Jesus will never call us to do anything that he hasn't done Himself, or that he is not willing to do Himself.

“Jesus is infallibly devoted to us in spite of our inconsistent devotion to him..." Listen in as Prof Dion shares more on this very honest look at how God feels about us, versus how we might feel about Him.

Prof Dion walks us through Romans 12:12 We look at that combination of joy and hope, and how it surpasses reason, and circumstance, and is rooted in faith and faithfulness.

Prof Dion takes at look at what it means to be a Citizen of Heaven and how we should act here on Earth when it comes to our responsibility as SA citizens, especially in anticipation of next year's elections.

Prof Dion shares out of Matthew 20:1-16 (the parable of the generous landowner and the grumbling workers) and focusses on the theme that we have nothing to earn, and everything to gain in working for our generous Lord!
