Daniel Castro was on the 8th grade team when I first starting coaching while I was in college. He is now a fellow graduate of not only RHP but also Cal State Fullerton. He works in real estate and the stock market. Danny loves all sports and will give them all a chance. He and his wife welcomed their first child this year and shared what the experience was like in a quarantine.

Mike Blinci joins us to discuss his work at BSN Sports in southern California. He also runs a podcast called SoCal Coaches Talk and umpires college baseball. Mike is a contributor to the Black & Blue Umpire Camps as well.

Rod Heaton coached me when I was in 4th grade and had a big impact on me not only attending church but eventually enrolling at Rio Hondo Prep. He shares his thoughts on why RHP football is so special as well as what drives him in his passion for preaching the word of God.

Bill Barnes shares a story from his weekend that could have ended badly had he not stepped in. Bill drove past a woman who was contemplating jumping off a bridge and talked to her until the authorities arrived. We also discuss the return of sports looking less likely and Bill finishing the most recent season of the TV show Bosch.

Shalimar Jackson is one of my favorite partners I ever worked with on a college football field. He brings the energy and intensity that I feel is necessary to manage a tough game. Shalimar played football at New Mexico State and now works as a Re-entry Supervisor for the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

Trevor Linn is a former member of the Coast Guard and a huge hockey fan. He currently works on elevators as a career and loves doing stand up comedy as a hobby. We cover a lot of ground including the LA Kings, comic books, and street art. (UNCENSORED)

Ed Drain is a Cancer survivor and an inspiration to countless people. He was diagnosed with Leukemia when he was 9 years old and will tell us about his conquering journey. He now teaches and coaches kids that were around his age when his life changed forever.

Kevinz Carpio is an Athletic Trainer who has worked at all levels. He has experience in both college and professional sports. He has recently found a home working at a high school in Adelanto, CA. Kevinz will share with us the mindset of what it takes to be a Trainer as well as how he now looks at the game very differently. Officials can relate!

Jason Ramos is an Associate Executive Director for YMCA Los Angeles. He's also one of the toughest all around football players I've ever seen. Jason talks about how important it is to play sports when you're young and also shares a story to show why he holds law enforcement in such high regard.

Shay Munoz joins us to talk some music! She is a singer and has performed with multiple bands, including with my girlfriend Valerie. We talk a little about using alter egos to combat stage fright. Shay is proud of her hometown of Bakersfield, CA and its music heritage. Shay will also discuss her upcoming move to Nashville, TN.

Nick Preciado joins us from Las Vegas! He grew up in southern California but will fill us in on what it's like moving to the bright lights in the desert. He has plenty of memories from KYL and RHP to discuss as well.

Jeff Andrews joins us from Connecticut! We talk about working spring training together while we were both umpires in the Minor Leagues. These days he works at a restaurant cooking food and also officiates 3 sports locally. He loves his Philadelphia Eagles and sharing some great memories!

Roy Ramirez joins us from Texas to give his opinion on some current events. He has experience as an EMT and now works for the Federal Government. We were roommates at Umpire School in 2009 and it was great to catch up!

Rick Johnson talks about growing up with KYL/RHP as his backyard. He's around kids all day as a school teacher, a coach, and as a father. He loves teaching others in many aspects of life.
