Get A G.R.I.P.

How does our faith hold up in times of disappointments, grief and challenges?  Do we know the word yet do not apply it to our situation? Without faith it is impossible to please God is what Hebrews 11:1 tells us.  

How do we maintain our peace when we are faced with various trials or circumstances in our lives? Do we know the Prince of Peace is available to help us stay in peace? We must activate our peace brothers and sisters! Suit Up with your feet fitted with the Gospel of Peace!

The Sword of the Spirit is the Word of God that we need to know and use in our every day lives!  It is imperative that we study God's Word daily in order to conquer the attacks of the enemy within and the enemy on the outside.

What is the truth? Jesus is The Way, The Truth, and The Life. We must as Christian Soldiers know the truth and believe the truth and keep it fastened close to us so as not to be swayed by any other doctrine or lies. Without the truth of God's word, we can't stand firm against anything!

Thank God for giving us an armor in which to protect us from the enemy's fiery darts and schemes! We have weapons in which to defend ourselves and The Breastplate of Righteousness is used to protect our vital organs and one very important organ is our heart. We have been given spiritual weapons, an entire armor to wear when fighting the battles that enter into our lives. We have the full armor of God, so get ready to "Suit Up" my brothers and sisters! We have our helmet of salvation to protect our heads from receiving deadly wounds. To God be the glory!

What are you grateful for? Do you show gratitude to God for all He has done and continue to do in your life? Is showing gratitude to God a priority?

How is your peace today? What stops you from having peace in your life? In Christ Jesus, we have peace because He left it for us to get a grip on, so what's stopping us?

There are times in our lives when we become weak and we need the strength of our friends to stand in the gap for us. But, we also need to be mindful that no one can replace the strength of God's Holy Spirit that resides in us! 

Today we will take a look into this acronym the Lord gave me for Hope. Each letter describes the character of God! We must have our hope in God in order to make it through perilous times.

Our memories can be good and bad all at the same time, but how you combat the bad ones is paramount.  

The holidays are especially difficult this year because this pandemic has come with so many side affects such as unemployment, the sudden loss of love ones, depression, and having to adjust to so many changes in the way we communicate, worship and educate. But through it all, my prayer is that we don't lose hope in the midst of it all.  May we keep our hope in God as we persevere through this...

We who are Christ followers know the word of God and how important it is to plant those words in our hearts to draw upon when we face a situation. And although that it true, it does not stop us from feeling the affects of it all when we're face to face with any type of loss or trouble of any kind. But, by the grace of God, we endure to the end!

We must not forget the men in our lives who are also grieving in this season whether it is the loss of a love one or the loss of employment.  L.et us encourage and pray for them as they sometimes get lost in the shuffle. 

As mothers who have lost children, we sometimes wonder if anyone really sees us. Do they really see and understand the magnitude of our loss?

The loss of a love one is devastating at any age, but it's even more so to a young person. Caitlin Jackson shares her heart on how she dealt with the loss of her mom at the age of 17.  She shares the struggle, the anger and her journey of healing with the help of the word of God and the Holy Spirit.

How do these they balance grieving as individuals while at the same time being there for their other two children. Drew and Lisa Shuman share their faith and trust in God after the loss of their oldest daughter Kayla.

Sometimes men find it difficult to express their innermost thoughts and feelings especially during the loss of a loved one. Many attribute it to the way in which little boys are raised when they are told to not cry and be strong which spills over into adulthood. My special guest Tim Shuman shares his heart and how he processed grief.

Get A Grip on the season you are in! No matter what is happening in your life, remember that this too shall pass because seasons change. Trust God in the good season and in the not so good season.

There is a purpose hidden in your pain. Trust the process...trust God. Joy will come in the morning!

We must learn to love the way God loves! God's love is unconditional and there is nothing we can do or say to change his love for us. God loved us while we were yet sinners! How great a love is that! Let us Get A Grip on the God kind of love!

Have Hope in God! God is the author and architect of Hope! We must not lose hope in who God is and what God can do in and through us.

We must hold on to our faith in times of difficulty. No matter what storm blows our way, let us allow our faith in God to remain in tact and trust him to see us through to the other side.  Without faith it is impossible to please God. God will always make a way when we can't see a way. Faith keeps us from giving up.

How do we "Get a Grip" on the emotional turmoil that this pandemic has brought upon us? What words of encouragement can we find in the Word of God to support our brothers and sisters who have lost love ones in this season? With God, we are never alone. He is a compassionate Father who loves us more than we could ever love ourselves or others. We must lean on him today more that we ever have before...
