In our text Jesus mixes a couple of metaphors… referring to Himself both as “The Door” and as “The Good Shepherd” using what is common to teach a profound truth about His worth and His work.  He also invited His followers to experience the abundant life available only through Him. (John 10:1-19)

When Jesus, the Light, healed a man born blind he gained more than eyesight, the blind man came to possess true sight—genuine faith.  This text encourages us to examine our own spiritual eyesight and focus our vision on Jesus as the Light of the World. (john 9:1-41)  

This lengthy text covers four logical conditional statements Jesus makes that apply to our spiritual walk.  It also contains consider two critical “I AM” statements of Jesus that connect Him directly to God and are like bookends to a library of crucial spiritual truths.  (John 8:12-59)

This text illustrates three key aspects of Jesus character as He addresses sin and brokenness.  These are character traits we should emulate as followers of Christ.  (John 8:1-11)

Controversy always surrounds Jesus.  What we believe about Who He is always shapes our response to Him.  This message helps us consider how we can best respond to Jesus. (John 7:32-52)

Jesus promises living water to those who come to Him in thirst.  Anything else we drink will lead to our own death and destruction.  He calls us to know Him. He invites us to drink. He promises us to life. (John 7:37-39)

Doing life God’s way, in God’s timing, makes all the difference in the world-- there is joy and refreshment in living according to His schedule.  This message helps us to discover the best way to live in God’s timing. (John 7:1-13)

Jesus is the bread of life and we partake of Him by asking Him to come live (abide) inside us.  Some of us are holding him at arm’s length.  We may even comment on how good the bread looks or how delicious it smells, but it does us no good unless we take Him in

In this passage, with a focus on The Resurrection, our goal is to see how The LORD allows us to be called to faith in different ways... to experience true resurrection power... no matter our varied backgrounds or experiences. (John 20:1-18)

Jesus is our Provider, Guide & Helper.  Nothing can keep Him away from us in our time of need… but we must trust Him. That is the offer and challenge for us.  Is He King Jesus in our life?   Do we accept Him as King, as LORD, as Master and Ruler? (John 6:1-21)

In this text Jesus reveals His true authority and magnificence. When we look to Jesus, we too can see His magnificence!  (John 5:19-47)

Through this encounter we see Jesus interacting in four distinct ways-- offering Help For The Helpless.  The help He offers to this unnamed man is really no different that the help Jesus might offer to us today, if we are willing to receive it.  (John 5:1-18)

In this text we come to the 2nd Sign provided by John, the miraculous healing of a young boy who was near death.  This 2nd sign shows us that Jesus is Lord of Life, able to provide true life on the condition of faith.  This is true life: to know God, and His Son Jesus,

Jesus' encounter with the Samaritan woman provides us with a pattern to discover the real source of Living Water.  This world we live in offers many ways to quench our thirst, but the sad reality is, every one of them end in death.  Only the Living Water of Jesus can leads us to real Life!

If you are a child of God you are part of His story of redemption.  Only when we put God’s Word into practice will we begin to see where our place is and how our story becomes part of God’s story. (John 3:22-36)

In a late-night conversation with Nicodemus Jesus helps us to understand some key spiritual principles regarding what He terms The New Birth.  As we explore these key principles we will see that Jesus taught by contrasting the prevailing viewpoint of the religious establishment with the real Truth that He came bring. What will it take for you and me to respond in the right way when discipline comes our way?   When we face trials or we face a time when God cleans our house, how will we respond?   (John 2:12-25)

In this passage we witness the world premiere of Jesus’ public ministry, beginning with His first miracle.  Jesus is setting the stage for what His ministry and mission are all about as He invites His followers into a life of grace, joy and obedience. (John 2:1-11)

In this text John reveals the main reason he came on the scene, to identify Jesus.  He identifies Jesus is four distinct and powerful ways. (John 1:19-34)

Jesus took on flesh so that we could become sons and daughters of God. This powerful truth begins John's Gospel and winds it's way throughout John's Gospel. (John 1:1-18)

A brief overview of John’s Gospel focusing on John’s thesis statement… the reason he wrote his Gospel: so that we might fully believe in Jesus Christ as God's Son, our Savior and our LORD. (John 20:31)

This message focuses on the two outcomes of the angelic announcement made to the shepherds: Glory goes up to God, Peace comes down from God.  It is when we glorify The LORD that we are best equipped to experience His perfect peace.  (Luke 2:8-14)

The setting of today’s passage takes place after the birth of Jesus when Joseph and Mary bring Him to the temple for dedication.  We’re introduced to two characters who make their appearance in the final acts of the Christmas drama-- both exhibit hope in the midst of uncertainty. (Luke 2:22-38)
