This is a repeat from 2022 as Garden Bite is on vacation!! Plant some seeds in a container that forms a greenhouse effect and set them outside. Cheap, easy and allows for the seeds to be ready to plant in your garden when the soil warms up! Plus check out the video on today's Garden Bite . 

Last year I planted quite a few sunflowers in support of Ukraine. The bonus was how many bees and birds enjoyed them! Perusing my Burpee catalog I came across a new sunflower 'Creme Brulee' and a beautiful new coneflower 'Pretty Parasols'. It's been a tough winter with LOTS of snow, major ice dams and plenty of crashes on the roads. Salt, at this time, is a necessity for humans but it does mess with many of our plants. Emerald Ash Borer continues to decimate our Ash Trees. The USDA reported on Jan. 5th, 2023, that the insect is now in 36 states and has killed tens of millions of trees. Is there hope? Find out on today's Garden Bite and also take a look at some great alternatives. Diversity is key!
