Jake, Kurt, and Stu fill in for regular After Dark crew to talk about Elden Ring, that Nintendo Direct, and WOLFENSTEIN BABY!!!

Summer Game Fest is OVER. Most of GameSpot is taking well deserved time off but Jake and Jean-Luc sit down to discuss their highlights from the big showcases and the games they got to see including, Dragon Age, Monster Hunter Wilds, Metaphor, Stalker 2, and Slitterhead. Jean-Luc has also gotten around to playing Destiny 2 The Final Shape, and ya'll... THEY NAILED IT.

It's a busy time at GameSpot HQ with Summer Game Fest prep, but we're still here to talk about some video games! We discuss what excited us from the PlayStation State of Play, Rave about Lorelei and the Laser Eyes, Crow Country, and Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door Remake, and give early impressions on Frost Punk 2 and The Alters.

This week we talk about our disappointment with Hellblade 2 and Kurt closes out the saga of his PC building experience - which has more poop involved than you might think.

This week Jean-Luc "beat" Animal Well and is building their vampire castle in V Rising. Meanwhile Kurt is ready to fully transition into a PC gamer and never shut up about Lorelei and the Laser Eyes.

Kurt and Jean-Luc reflect on the Xbox shutdowns and their overall disillusionment with console publishers. But it's not all doom and gloom as this week's also seen the release of some amazing indie titles! Kurt raves about Animal Well and Jean-Luc gives their impressions on the 34th Nancy Drew game.

Jean-Luc and Jake are joined by the new Tech Reviews editor for IGN, Michael Higham! This week we chat about Stellar Blade, Tales of Kenzera: ZAU, Sand Land, and Final Fantasy XVI's The Rising Tide DLC.

Its a Kurt-and-Jean-Luc-only episode this week! They give their final update on the Fallout TV show, and dive into some major spoilers (skip to around 27:32 to avoid). Kurt discusses his thoughts on Harold Halibut, Jean-Luc gives their first impressions of Hades II, and gets excited about the upcoming hottest release of the year.

This week we discuss the hottest topic of the week: the Fallout TV Show. There's also The Rogue Prince of Persia, Children of the Sun, Everybody's Golf and the Stellar Blade demo. Also we find yet another excuse to bring up Persona 3 Reload and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

This week we're joined by special guest Kyle Hilliard, magazine content director at Game Informer, to chat a little bit about their new standalone subscription!

This week Lucy and Tam return to talk about their time at both GDC and PAX East, plus the whole crew has been playing the hottest game of week Dragon's Dogma 2.

It's been a busy week in video games with lots of new releases and GDC here in San Francisco. Jean-Luc has been playing Alone in the Dark and Princess Peach. Jake didn't care much for Rise of the Rōnin but did enjoy his brief look at Wild Bastards. And Kurt previewed a bunch of games including Harold Halibut, Tales of Kenzera, and the Sinking City 2.

This week on After Dark we pour one out for Rooster Teeth, Michael has been playing Unicorn Overlord, Jake loves Queen's Blood, and Jean-Luc's playing the Star Wars Dark Forces Remaster.

This week on GameSpot After Dark: Jake has gotten into off-road trucking, Kurt is deep into the HOPA genre, Michael's got a love/hate relationship with Balatro, and Jean-Luc finally got around to playing Homebody.

This week we it's another Jean-Luc and Michael only episode devoted entirely to Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

This week we react to the "big news" from Xbox. Michael previewed Unicorn Overlord, the latest game from Vanillaware. Jake's been playing Mario vs Donkey Kong. And Jean-Luc has NOT been playing Skull and Bones.

This week is a Jean-Luc and Michael only joint which of course means they're gonna dive deep into their bullshit like Final Fantasty VII Rebirth, Persona 3 Reload, Infinite Wealth, and anime elf girls.

It's Persona 3 Reload week and we're devoting the whole episode to it! Jake and Jean-Luc are joined by Jess Cogswell who reviewed the game for GameSpot as well as Michael Higham, who reviewed the game for IGN.

It's not been a great week for the games industry but we're gonna try our best to keep our heads up and focus on the good just like our boy Ichiban would want.

Lucy, Tam, and Jake talk about the biggest news from the Xbox Dev Direct, Prince of Persia The Lost Crown, and The Last of Us Part II Remastered.

Happy 2024! Jake and Jean-Luc kick in the new year by talking about what games they played together over the break including: Lethal Company, The Finals, and LEGO Fortnite. Jean-Luc also tried Star Wars Jedi Survivor and finally got around to playing Resident Evil - Code: Veronica.

We're closing out the year with a special episode for you all! We are joined by the creator of Video Game Trivia, Jacob McCourt, for a special video game 2023 in-review edition. Who will win? Who will take the fattest L?
