Christie and Cathi are joined by Don Bentley, author of the Matt Drake series and two Tom Clancy Jack Ryan, Jr. novels.  With a pre-writing life that sounds like he lived one of his characters, Don explains how his background influences his writing. He also shares how it felt to write in the Jack Ryan universe.

Cathi and Christie talk to Mariko Tamaki about her new book “Cold.” Mariko tells us about her inspiration for her book, the collaboration she does for her graphic novel work, and whether she’d pick invisibility or x-ray vision as a superpower. The wine this week is red wine with seltzer.
