From the Middle

#015. What grinds your gears? We thought about our annoyances for a while and came up with a list of some of our own pet peeves, humorous observations, and weird experiences. We then talked about them, recorded it all, and threw it at the internet. None before Kory took us down the Fact Check Trail while reading our first listener mail! Hold on to your seats. There's more to come. --- Send in a vo...

#014. In the episode, we continue our life event discussion with a remarkable trip to Colorado via Kory; the literal ups and downs, the loneliness of Kansas, and of course, because it is us, food. Dillon leads us in a discussion of various cooking shows as we discuss their necessity, and Kendall commits a pocket dump. Light-hearted and fun, this episode made us laugh and we hope you get to join in...

#013. A quick note about our segment where we discuss whether comedians should get a free pass on edgy material. We do not endorse or condone everything that every comedian has ever said or done. In the true sense of the word, we discuss this topic in generalities concerning the industry, not in isolated events. Now on to the catchier description! The episode title is a pun! How funny! Or is it? S...

#012. Bald dudes: Kory poses the question, "When did you decide enough was enough and it's time for a shave?" Asking for a friend. College football fans: Pretend the NCAA has a football commissioner and you are it. What would you do? Side notes: Man crushes and Disney Princesses.  The theme of this episode is, "anything."  Have fun!  Send us your responses to the above questions and we might featu...

#011. Netflix is canceling The Office!? It's ok. And it's likely not Netflix's fault. Why that is and what you'll be able to do about it can be found here. Also, we discuss the Spider-Man universe(s) in light of the new film. Kory does Fact Checks. Kendall is ruining a piano. Dillon hates adulting. Thanks for reading. #010. We just couldn't fit this discussion into one episode, so here is part two of two of us talking the ins, outs, ups, downs, and behind the scenes of the creative process. Truly this is a look into the lives of a couple of creative professionals as Dillon continued his interview of Kory, Kendall, and our guest, Jeremy.  We laugh. We cry. We give advice. We answer some of the hard questions whi...

#009. Are you a creative type? You’re going to love this episode. Not a creative type? You’re going to love this episode. Seriously though, in this episode Dillon plays interviewer to his creative co-hosts as well as his good friend and guest, Jeremy Kester. We begin a two episode deep dive into the minds and creative processes of Jeremy, Kendall, and Kory who are all tapped into the creative worl...

#008. With our amateur foodie hats on, we start discussing pizza styles and quickly realize how much we love talking food. We therefore continue our culinary considerations with some food destinations we have fondly experienced enough to tell you they are worth checking out as you travel. Pizza snobs, we get you. Breakfast lovers, we have some pointers. Apparently we can shoot from the middle abou...

#007. Kory, as an artist, shares how he managed to eke out a living doing only art and why he decided to pursue his love of art and drawing through art school and beyond with a special focus on the family, mentors, and teachers who have helped and encouraged him along the way. James Bond fans, we talk about James Bond only to let you know we're not talking about James Bond. Also some fact checks a...

#006. On the heels of Dillon mentioning something about offering sacrifices, Kendall gives a brief and timely look into sermon prep.  Somehow that leads to a discussion of virtual reality, which then leads us to mobile (and some console) gaming. As we've said, a little something for most! (But you should probably listen to it all.) --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/fromthemidpod/messa...

#005. We have our first guest, Greg Dillow, to educate and discuss the world of Godzilla in light of the latest movie in theaters, Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Kory had an in-depth experience at Texas Motor Speedway for an IndyCar race, and Dillon doesn't like using inefficient syllables when ordering common appetizers. Also, we introduce a new segment with some avian fact-checking.  Enjoy!  Ra...

#003. Overthinkers and robots alike, we get you! The guys discuss some of the backend of podcasting along with a little psychology to go with it. Also, did you know bird leashes exist?
