FRO talks ERNEST GOES TO JAIL (1990) 08.11.2024

Right off the bat, my review for this movie is gonna be ROOTED in nostalgic bias, but I still wholeheartedly love Goes to Jail. Jim Varney gives an underrated performance as both the bumbling hero we love, AND the villainous Nash. FRO talks MATILDA (1996) 08.11.2024

I never get tired of this one. Mara Wilson is awesome as the title character, Danny DeVito does a great job with both directing and acting, and Pam Ferris is a delight as the villain, Trunchbull. Starring: Mara Wilson, Danny DeVito, and Pam Ferris Directed by: Danny DeVito Rated PG for elements of exaggeRated meanness and ridicule, and for some mild language

FRO talks ERNEST SCARED STUPID (1991) 08.11.2024

*strong language advised* My favorite childhood film! Ernest Scared Stupid is a 1991 comedy horror film directed by John Cherry and starring Jim Varney. It is the fifth film to feature the character Ernest P. Worrell. In the film, Ernest unwittingly unleashes an evil troll upon a small town on Halloween night and helps the local children fight back.

FRO talks the zombie game DEAD RISING (2006) 08.11.2024

Frank West is a solid protagonist, the zombies and overall design for them are creepy and unnerving, we have some cool supporting characters like Brad and Carlito, and the boss matches - although tough - are fun to play through. One of my favorite games ever, but I also have a nostalgic bias with it.

FRO talks FRIDAY the 13th (1980) 08.11.2024

Starring: Adrienne King and Betsy Palmer Directed by: Sean S. Cunningham Suggested MPAA Rating: Rated R for bloody violence, sexuality/nudity, and some language

FRO talks A MAN CALLED OTTO (2022) 08.11.2024

Hanks puts in his best performance in recent years. We have a solid supporting cast of characters, and light-hearted moments that balance out the glum depiction of suicide. I recommend this one. Starring: Tom Hanks Directed by: Marc Forster Rated PG-13 for mature thematic material involving suicide attempts, and language

FRO talks DAWN OF THE DEAD (2004) 08.11.2024

We have a great cast of colorful characters, snappy dialogue, fantastic practical effects, and menacing zombies. Also one of my first movie theater experiences, at age 7. Starring: Sarah Polley, Ving Rhames, Jake Weber, Ty Burrell, and Mekhi Phifer Directed by: Zack Snyder Rated R for pervasive strong horror violence and gore, language and sexuality

FRO talks the awful CATS (2019) 08.11.2024

strong language advised Cats is in the conversation for Worst Movie of All Time. I am not exaggerating, whatsoever. The performances are lifeless, the musical numbers are excruciating to sit through, and the pacing feels like I'm being dragged across concrete.

FRO talks WHITE HEAT (1949) 08.11.2024

A knock-it-out the park performance from James Cagney, who plays the maniacal gangster Cody Jarrett. Support: patreon.com/allflowsreachout Follow FRO Thizzle Reviews: https://www.instagram.com/frothizzlereviews https://x.com/FroReviews Facebook: FRO Thizzle Reviews

FRO talks the zombie game LEFT 4 DEAD (2008) 08.11.2024

One of my favorite games of all time! As much I love the second installment more, the OG will always have a special place with me. Support: patreon.com/allflowsreachout Follow FRO Thizzle Reviews: https://www.instagram.com/frothizzlereviews https://x.com/FroReviews Facebook: FRO Thizzle Reviews

FRO talks GRAN TORINO (2008) 08.11.2024

(strong language advised) Eastwood puts in a great performance as Walt, and does a solid job as the director. The dialogue is snappy, energetic, and it makes me crack a rib with every watch. I can understand folks being offended by the racial humor and themes, but I love this film, whole-heartedly. Starring: Clint Eastwood, Bee Vang, and Ahney Her Directed by: Clint Eastwood Rated R for language t...

FRO talks MAN ON FIRE (2004) 08.11.2024

Denzel puts in a top 5 performance as John Creasy, and Dakota Fanning has one of my favorite performances from a child actor. As much as I love/hate the ending, it still gives me a gut punch. I highly recommend Man on Fire (2004). One of my favorites. Starring: Denzel Washington, Dakota Fanning, Radha Mitchell, and Christopher Walken Directed by: Tony Scott Rated R for language and strong violence...

FRO talks TRAINING DAY (2001) 08.11.2024

An excellent crime-drama that's led by a magnificent Denzel at his absolute A-game. We also have a fantastic Ethan Hawke performance, a solid supporting cast, and a great soundtrack. I have Training Day in my personal top 5 movies of all-time. Starring: Denzel Washington, Ethan Hawke, and Scott Glenn Directed by: Antoine Fuqua Rated R for strong brutal violence, pervasive language, drug content an...

FRO talks TREMORS (1990) 08.11.2024

I whole-heartedly adore this film. We have awesome characters and colorful performances to match, fantastic practical effects/creature design, and big belly laughs for me. FRO talks TREMORS 2: AFTERSHOCKS (1996) 07.11.2024

As a big fan of the first film, I've always considered Aftershocks to be a super underrated sequel. Fred Ward is still a blast to watch as Earl Bassett, and Michael Gross is always a bunch of fun as Burt Gummer. The practical effects for the graboids are delightful, and the gore pushes the PG-13 rating. Highly recommend! Starring: Fred Ward, Michael Gross, Christopher Gartin, & Helen Shaver Di...
