Stand Firm with God’s Church 07.11.2021 37:41
The elect of God are His church building program, serving as both temple and priesthood. To emphasize this, Peter quotes three great “stone” passages from the OT, Isaiah 28, Psalm 118, and Isaiah 8. Looking at these texts, we see behavioral application for how to offer spiritual sacrifices through Jesus. Is 28:15-18, 22 gives the first application: take God’s judgment of non-believers seriously! P...
Stand Firm in Brotherly Love 31.10.2021 41:44
We Christians are expected to obey God’s truth, a responsibility that includes purifying our souls in regard to love for our fellow believers. This love should be expressed fervently. Such familial affection is sincere and pure. Looking at the disunity of depraved humanity, one wonders how such love could ever be experienced! Peter expresses the reasons such philos can and should be experienced in...

The Christian is no longer trapped in the cycle of familial sin, but instead has God Himself as Father. This relational change has occurred because of Jesus’ resurrection and is unspeakably precious. Stand Firm in Grace 03.10.2021 39:57

Don't Hate. Keep Loving! 19.09.2021 43:37
God has an incredible, foolproof plan for overcoming our fears, and love is a major part of that plan. Unfortunately, love almost never conquers fear in humans. Things work exactly opposite to that, in fact. Wonderfully, God provides love Himself. His love becomes the abiding foundation which allows Christians to practice agape love, casting out every fear.
Don't Fear. Use Your Superpower! 12.09.2021 39:03
God the Spirit indwells believers in Jesus, granting literal super power. Yet we live much of our lives in a spirit of timidity. Paul speaks to all of us in his letter to Timothy, calling on his protégé to leave fear and replace it with power. In Acts 4, John and Peter give an excellent outline of how to do so practically.
