True gratitude, not appreciation, but true gratitude is solely the purview of Christians. 

There is no greater way to ensure you are praying what your loved ones need, especially if you have not seen them in a while, than to pray Scripture for them. My favorite passage to pray for others is Ephesians 3:14-21.  And I'm old and I know stuff.

Everyone in our lives are or have been in our lives for a reason. Some we don't remember, but the ones we do have a special place of some sort in our lives.  There are ways to pray for those instruments of God and their impact on us, furthermore, doing so adds comfort to our souls even as we pray for them. A personal encounter with my own hard heart, and how I learned gratitude to God.

From the Seraphim in Isaiah, to David, reminding his soul to take care of business, to the doxologies in the New Testament, and finally glimpses of our eternal state, we will see our occupation and preoccupation: the worship and praise to God, Father Son and Holy Spirit. Our Creator and the Savior of our souls. 

Having a place, a special place to pray not only emulates Jesus and His intentionality to seek the Father in prayer, but adds the force of an appointment we are encouraged to keep, and the solemnity of a place which is holy to you and brings added profundity to your soul's prayers.

Jeremiah's heart was so devoted to God, that He called out for God's justice on his own life, but with one proviso, "but not with Thine anger."  There is only one thing more difficult than trials in our lives, and that is living without the peaceful fruit of righteousness which they bring.

We have all eternity to worship God, and to praise His name, and that will not be enough time. A day of focusing on and speaking of the glory of God, moved the host to an emotional conclusion, We worship God through who He is, what He has done in the redemption of our souls and the truth which calms our hearts now and for eternity. 

A reminder of how much deeper is the benefit of eternal life when we experience it her even before heaven. We see how greatly prayer affects our knowing the only true God and Jesus the Christ who He sent to be our Savior, and what a great love He has for us to tell us yes, yes, but not exactly what you asked for, and no. His answers are always done for our good, in His love and at the proper time....

In reviewing some of our procedures, I found Devotional 18 was flawed, the episode has been update, but instead of me, sacking me, I have a plan, this episode will tell you what that plan is and thank you for listening even through it all. I am sincerely sorry. Fred

We all long for comfort and sometimes have the mistaken belief that when we are comfortable we have found the favor of God, and there are times that is true. However, what is true all the time is when we are in affliction, for the child of God, we are most certainly experiencing the favor of our God.

As promised a little insight into beginning our daily prayers. I have found it helpful to begin my daily prayers with a time of unburdening my soul by having a short time of Confession, Thankfulness, Worship and Intercession.  Find out why I endeavor to open each devotional time with, "Thank You Jesus for this beautiful day." We all stimulate one another to love and good works.

An evocative look at how confession to the Lord of our sins heals our minds bodies and souls.

Confession is commanded. Confession is natural for the redeemed of Jesus Christ. And, actually, confession is good for our minds, bodies and souls. Critical ia confession.

In every prayer, lengthy prayer in the Bible, we find Confession, Worship, Thanksgiving and Intercession, and or supplication. Find the definitions of each element, and some beginning insights into implementing them in your daily prayers.

Two prayers asking for the exact same thing, and answered in the exact same way. When we are open and honest before God, 3 are as good as 60. And you can take that to the bank, or better yet, take it to your heavenly Father. Critical to our well being here one earth is the knowledge that we can take everything to God in prayer. 

Bowing before God, is born from humility, and is a privilege for us. We have complete access to the throne room of heaven. With these things being true, we approach God with the respect due His name. 

Touching base with some direction for the next few episodes, and a devotional on a prayer partner you may not know you have. 

We take select passages from various Psalms to break the ice in our process of learning how much the Psalms teach us about our most personal occupation, praying to Father, Son and Holy Spirit in communion with Him. 

As children of God, we hear over and over again how much God loves us. The depth of that love is seen in our prayers of confession, and the wonderful forgiveness that He freely bestows on the beloved. Psalm 51 is our guide in learning to confess before Almighty God. 

We jump into the Psalms in Psalm 33 to see our call to worship, and learn how His attributes, His actions, and His omniscience, and omnipotence cause to come to Him in prayer as our help and shield.
