Chapter 3 begins with the most common objections Paul was receiving in his day when it came to faith in Jesus Christ, particularly from a Jewish standpoint. Interestingly enough, these objections are still used by people today, namely Atheists. Just shows how relevant the Word of God will always be through the ages - past, present and future.

Pastor Tim concludes the second chapter of Romans as he delves into the good, the bad, and the ugly of the Religionist - someone who is trying to make themselves approved by God from what they do. You'll find out that being a Jew is important to God but still not enough to escape Judgement on the Day of the Lord. Everyone is in the same boat!

This passage concludes the first chapter of Romans and what a passage it is. Pastor Tim does an exceptional job, firstly expounding the repeated phrases of God giving them over to these evil desires. For news to be good, there has to be bad news. This is where Paul gets into the reality of everyone needing to hear the good news.

The last three characteristics of the Gospel of Jesus Christ are found in these remaining verses of Paul's introduction to the Romans. We'll find that the Good News is for everyone, it's the power of God and the wonderful truth that it produces righteousness in all who believe.
