On Christmas Eve, a meditation on the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ ...

As Christmas approaches, we see in Matthew's Gospel that Joseph needed faith to make it to the glory of Christmas Day and meet his savior, Jesus, face to face. (Mt 1:18-24) In these final days before Christmas, we're invited to walk in faith, carrying the name the angel revealed to Joseph in a dream on our lips: Jesus.

Five practical tips for "keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the leader and perfecter of faith." (Heb 12:2)

Luke recounts Jesus teaching, "Do not be afraid any longer, little flock, for your Father is pleased to give you the kingdom." (Lk 12:32) To live our lives even now  in the Kingdom of the beloved Son requires faith, and so, this homily considers one of the most famous verses on faith in the New Testament: "Faith is the substance of what is hoped for and evidence of things not seen." (Heb 11:1)

We take a journey here considering God's love for us. It's a peaceful one, considering the wisdom Jesus gives us, holiness, sanctification and His enduring redemption that just knows no quit in our lives...

In Chapter 11 of St. Luke's Gospel, we come across the astounding moment when, after having seen Jesus pray, one of the disciples asked Him, "Lord teach us to pray..."(Lk 11:1) They could tell that the prayer of Jesus was different; there was something going on there that they wanted in on. In turn, Jesus taught them, and us... The Our Father.

When Jesus told Martha, "there is need of only one thing" (Lk 10:42), He was inviting her into what Mary had found, and what we were all truly created for: intimacy in divine love...

In His parable about  The Good Samaritan , Jesus invites us into His heart and onto the road of mercy...
