This time of year, there is an obsession with the supernatural. But the result of this obsession is not a greater awareness of the supernatural, but a desensitization of it. As this attitude creeps into the church, it produces impotent and disengaged Christians that are losing a battle they aren't even aware is going on.

Love is the foundation of every spiritual gift.

In Jesus' life, we can see distinct circles of friendship and influence. As we take a closer look at these relationships, we learn how to be prayerful and purposeful in who we bring into those circles.

Movement without a destination leads to wandering. The same is true in our dating journey. If we don't date with marriage as our destination, we are destined to wander and lose valuable time.

Maybe the hardest part of waiting is feeling like nothing is happening. But when God instructs us to wait, it's not a passive activity. In our season of singleness, we must learn what it means to "actively wait." So, you're single. What does God want you to do while you wait?

Trauma has a way of revealing the unconverted places in our heart. We don't often think of holiness in relation to mental health, but it is a big key to overcoming weariness.

The fear of lack the result of past trauma. It can be particularly difficult to overcome because of how deeply it embeds itself in our soul. This primal fear can be imprinted upon our hearts as early as infancy. The enemy loves to use this fear as a weapon to keep us weary and defeated. Today we'll discuss three ways that we can overcome the fear of like by recognizing God's abundance for us.

Have you ever had a desire to help someone, but you felt unequipped? This is the very reason that the Holy Spirit has given us spiritual gifts. He desires to equip us so that we can help somebody.

This morning, we pick up where we left off last week with the final two guidelines to brave the potential mess that can come with seeking the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit has given special gifts and abilities to each of us for the purpose of building up the church. Those gifts are still active and intended for today. We cannot allow the potential mess to prevent us from experiencing all God has for us. As we step into these abilities, God gives us both guidelines to keep us balanced and grace to deal with potential messes.

Well-based or fenced-based ministry. Are there times we are more focused on being right about scripture rather than fulfilling it?

As we've discussed in the earlier in the series, the reason why the church lacks fire, is because many still cling to things that they do not want to be consumed. But what if your comfort was never a part of God's plan? What if the reason we don't have the fire of God is because we've become comfortable with the darkness?

For something to burn it has to be flammable. God wants to pour out His Spirit upon His church, but we must prepare ourselves to receive it. As followers of Jesus, there are things that we must do to become flammable.
