Forest Park Southeast Neighborhood Association

In this meeting we share ward and neighborhood updates, recap developments and new businesses, share planned events and speakers, and discuss the upcoming Future64 public meeting.

This month's meeting included elections for the 2023 Board and presented project materials for a proposed development at 4534-4556 Manchester.

This month's meeting included a guest speaker from WEPOWER talk about community benefit agreements, called for 2023 Board nominations, and heard updates about the Ward and from the Infrastructure and Development Committees.

We discuss experiences traversing S. Kingshighway and get updates from the Infrastructure Committee and Development Review Committee.

This month we have a call for Board nominations, see plans for 4210 - 4216 Manchester and interior renovations of McCormack House @ FPSE, hear from retiring SLMPD Officer John McLaughlin, and plans for Neighborhood Night Out and a potential Spring Block Party.  

In this meeting we hear from guests about the Alderwoman's upcoming Forest Park Southeast Development Review Committee and updates to the parking districts in Forest Park Southeast.

Lux Living present their project for 1070 S. Kingshighway and the community discusses it's level of support.

In this meeting we discuss ward updates (Albion, Lux Living), events, and public safety.

In our April meeting we discussed a variety of opportunities to be involve in the neighborhood through committees and upcoming events, and had guest speakers present on Future64, a transportation study and project within the central corridor of St. Louis.

In our March meeting, we motioned to approve last month's bylaw changes, 2022 events, call for Dog Park Committee members and availability of Chouteau Garden beds, the and revival of the Infrastructure Committee.

February was a busy month! In our first meeting of 2022, we have Alderwoman Pihl with Ward 17 updates, Park Central Development sharing info about their Stay in Place Program, a live poll on the Steinberg Rink Development Project, and discuss how the Association can better serve the community. 

In this meeting we have President of the Board of Aldermen Lewis Reed talk about ward redistricting and 2022 Board elections.

In October 2021 the FPSE Neighborhood Association hosted a meeting for Lux Living to respond to community feedback on the 144 unit apartment proposal. After the meeting, the Association hosted a community discussion for residents to voice their thoughts and opinions.

The September 2021 meeting hosted Lux Living to give a presentation fo their 144 unit apartment proposal on the site of the former Drury properties along Kingshighway.

The August 2021 meeting of the Forest Park Southeast Neighborhood Association included details on Neighborhood Night Out (September 11, 2021), the upcoming community engagement session on September 21 for LuxLiving's Kingshighway proposal, updates from Park Central Development, details on the Brickline Greenway, and neighborhood events including the Moonlight Ramble.

The July 2021 meeting of the Forest Park Southeast Neighborhood Association included details on National Night Out (September 11, 2021), upcoming Neighborhood Cleanups, a guest presentation from the Planning and Urban Design Agency, and updates from Park Central Development, Officer Walker, and Alderwoman Sweet-T.

The June 2021 meeting of the Forest Park Southeast Neighborhood Association included the election of the new Treasurer, Michael Browning, a presentation from the Tower Grove Connector project, and continued discussion regarding potential changes to the bylaws.

The May 2021 meeting of the Forest Park Southeast Neighborhood Association included planning for social events, hearing updates from Park Central Development (PCD), and potential changes to the bylaws.

The April 2021 meeting of the Forest Park Southeast Neighborhood Association included planning for social events, hearing updates from Park Central Development (PCD), and discussion of whether FPSENA should accept a seat on PCD's Development Committee.

The February 2021 meeting of the Forest Park Southeast Neighborhood Association included a number of neighborhood updates from Park Central Development.  

January's meeting included updates from neighborhood officials and a panel Q&A with Ward 17 Alderperson candidates Michelle Sherod, Don De Vivo and Tina Sweet-T Pihl.

November's meeting included 2021 Board elections and discussions on the Neighborhood Association's proposal for a seat on the Development Committee.

October's meeting included nominations for the 2021 Board, a presentation on Proposition R, and a Q&A with Alderman Joe Roddy.

September's meeting included presentations from the neighborhood's security organizations: Neighborhood Security Initiative (NSI), Campbell's Security, and The City's Finest.
