The Swan king blamed bad luck for losing the war. Sarvangya, the king's minister, pointed out that the king had willfully ignored his advice to be wary of the crow and that the crow had betrayed him. It wasn't his bad luck, but the king's unwise decision. A story of a foolish tortoise was narrated by Sarvangya to reiterate this point. Listen and enjoy the story!

Against the advice of his minister, Chitravarana, the peacock king, marched with his army into battle against Hiranyagarba, the swan king. Many officers died as a result of his impulsive actions. Chitravarna, the peacock king, was itching to go to war in the last episode. The impatient king became grouchy when his minister, the vulture, suggested that war should not be the first option.
