God’s grand purpose is that all things in heaven and earth become included in Christ. One commentator put it this way, "Christ came into the world, ultimately, to reunite, to head up again, in Himself all things both in heaven and in earth" (pg 152). This Sunday we had some guests share and encourage us with what God is doing in the world through the Gideon International Ministry and WIlliam Jessup University. We as believers have an opportunity to live lives that exemplify the gospel and pass it down to our children.

Today I want to refresh us in a few more fundamentals about how we are to manage the money God has allowed each of us to have. The first thing you have to understand if you are going to be a godly money manager, is God is the owner of everything. Take a look at these verses spread widely throughout Scripture.

In the Bible, there are hundreds of verses that talk directly or indirectly about money, and possessions, and how God’s people are to use them. The sheer enormity of the Bible’s teaching on this subject screams for our attention. It might shock you, but more is said about money in the Bible than about love, prayer, and other topics we might assume are more important to God.

Today we continue in the process of watching Israel navigate through the process God has them in. The last couple of weeks we saw the camera shift focus from Israel onto Balaam and Balak. Today the camera continues in the narrative as it switches focus back onto the nation of Israel. Lets read and see what Israel is up to.

Within the world and even within some Christian circles there can be at times a mentality that if God was loving he would often protect us from all sorts of battles and trials in our lives. Yet as we have been discovering in this summer series of the process is the opposite. As believers in Christ we still more times than not have to face the consequences of our sins and choice.

Today as we keep working through the 40-year Process that God took Israel through in the desert; we are going to learn about the power of focus. So please open up your Bibles to Numbers 21 as we hang out verses 4-9 this morning.

The process can often put us in very difficult situations emotionally, spiritually even physically. The question often become how do you respond? Do you let your circumstances dictate your faith, theology, your actions or do you rest in your faith responding in obedience to Christ. In Exodus 20 we learn from Israel, Moses and Aaron how to respond when in the process.
