Aren’t we Christians, not just God’s children, but Christ’s Bride? (Revelations 19: 6-9)

‘My son,’ the father said, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ 

Much of hip hop music, rock music and music videos suggest sexual activity, partial or complete nudity, filthy language and promotes materialism. Listening to such music and watching such videos each day stirs lust within us and when lust hath conceived it brings forth sin.

“Because you have so little faith. I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

Some of us are just like Martha. We let our busy lives of service distract us from spending time with Jesus through the study of His word, meditation and prayer.

Often times, we set goals for ourselves and carefully organise our lives such that when we experience some delay, we get frustrated and backslide. While it is good to make plans and set goals, we must realise that God is the Master Planner. There is an appointed time for everything. You may be short of time in actualising your goals, but God is always right on time in bringing them to pass.

Today, we thank God for the gift of life. We thank Him for His loving kindness and tender mercies. We pray that the words of our mouth and the meditations of our heart be acceptable in your sight. May our words edify the hearer and glorify you at all times in Jesus name, amen.

Today, we thank God for the gift of life. We pray that the Lord delivers us from temptation. May we exercise discipline over our thoughts and emotions. We pray that our motives be purified and our hearts be made right with God in Jesus name, amen.

Today, we thank God for the gift of life. We pray for grace and strength to live a bold, authentic and purposeful life. We rebuke old cycles of fear and failure, and replace them with new cycles of courage and success in Jesus name, amen.

Today, we thank God for the precious gift of life. We desire to pray more, pray widely and pray differently. We pray that our desire be fulfilled in Jesus name. No evil weapon formed against us shall prosper, and the gate of hell shall not prevail over the church in Jesus name, amen.

Today, we thank God for the precious gift of life. We pray committing this day unto His holy hands. We ask for guidance and protection. May God help us to submit to His will for our lives. May we be submitted one to another. May there be submission in our homes. We pray that our lives be ruled by the word of God at all times in Jesus name, amen.

Today, we thank God for the gift of life. We thank Him for this amazing new day. We pray that the Lord helps us to trust Him. May our faith in Him be made stronger each day in Jesus name. May we love the Lord, and love His word in Jesus name, amen.
