Flying Intuition

The all-time leading feature in The Badger Variety Hour and Flying Intuition. This is Ike (Sir Isaac Newton) Kohl live from WSUM with Charles and Jeremy (not pictured).

Relaxation vs. Laziness. Are they one in the same? Often, society makes it out to be. Here are some tricks of the trade that I've attempted to teach myself along the way.

It’s Michael on the track for this one folks. what. a. guy. You already know he’s the head of the UW-Madison Spikeball Club, also known as roundnet for all you try hards out there. Wisco born and raised in Wauwatosa, Mike is now finishing up with college and soon to be perusing a career in video creation/development. A J Cole fan boy, and spikeballer for life, this is Michael Erickson.

Why do we take ourselves so seriously? There are some cases where being serious is super beneficial, but most of the time it happens much too often and can even start to become detrimental. Here are my tips for turning a mundane time into a great time—starting with you.

Groomed in the suburbia known to many as Oshkosh, WI and fewer as Sloshkosh, Leisha plans to graduate next fall from UW-Madison with her degree in psychology. Leisha hopes to continue her studies as a medical student one day, planning to take a year off of school next year to work towards gathering more experience in the medical field. Leisha tells some fun stories in this one, making for a super...

A previous guest on Flying Intuition finally decided to make an appearance on the best radio show of all-time. It's The Badger Variety Hour with special guest: Jenna Fleck.

This is Life of the Germ. A show about the Host of Flying Intuition. His life, and all of the things that encapsulate it.

Shoutout to Jenna for coming on the pod! Jenna is currently a senior at UW-Madison studying molecular and cell biology. She is currently in the process of applying to graduate programs for next fall! As graduation from undergrad quickly approaches in May, she highlights some of her favorite times at Madison as well as a few things she still plans on squeezing in before finishing up at UW. This is...

The boys are back in town. Charles and I come to you live from 91.7 WSUM for the first time in 2023.

Fast-forward 20 episodes and the wife of Tom Gallas (episode #26) makes an appearance on the show. Another truly encapsulating episode with some great memories and life lessons jam-packed into one session. The Host's grandma works effortlessly through her past, recollecting a few defining moments which have occurred throughout her life so far. This is Chris Gallas.

Samuel is an Oshkosh native but currently attends UW-Madison. In this one, we cover a range of topics which flow effortlessly like the warm water that comes out of your shower each and every day (hopefully). An amazing talk with an amazing lad. This is Samuel Geffers.

Shoutout to doso for the longest episode Flying Intuition has yet to see. Doso and I met in culinary arts in high school and haven’t looked back since. We continue to kick it to this day, never failing to chop it up as you’ll see in this episode. One of the most organic conversations I’ve ever had on the show. This is Austen Cardoso.

Shoutout to Joe for letting Flying Intuition setup shop in his room! The audio quality is elite for this episode. Joe came on fired up to chop it up on the podcast and that's just what we did. With plans to graduate in the fall of 2024, Joe is looking forward to teaching Phys Ed out of college. A true sconnie at heart, Joe thinks he might just end up somewhere in Wisconsin after graduation, but wo...

You know I had to hit you guys with back-to-back Jorgensen brother episodes. Recorded in the exact same spot, 24 hours apart. Unlike Aaron, Matt is currently living in North Dakota where he attends the University of North Dakota. Matt is expected to graduate this spring with his Bachelor's degree in both marketing and economics. If you hated North Dakota before this episode, get ready to have your...

Two Oshkosh dudes meeting up for the first time in months. What will happen? This episode is the result. A truly fire conversation with my boy, Aaron. Aaron currently attends UW-Whitewater where he plans to earn his teaching degree and one day teach high schoolers how hype history truly is. With easily one of the best cover pictures so far, ladies and gentleman, Flying Intuition would now like to...

It's time for another week of great content on Flying Intuition. In this episode you'll find a really genuine conversation with a super fun person. Kalina and I met this past spring semester through a mutual friend and have connected through science since then. In the few times I've gotten to hang with her, it's always been a good time, with the conversation flowing like some syrup just heated up...

The long awaited guest appearance from Ike is finally here on The Badger Variety Hour. He was the first guest ever on the show back in June, but due to recording error, the episode never made it onto Flying Intuition. Ike makes his second appearance on the show this time, and he was more than excited to come on. A legendary trio, no doubt this is one for the books.

You're bound to laugh during this one. Dylan easily has one of the most contagious laughs I know. It was a great time chopping it up with him. Music creator and enthusiast, Dylan is also on track to one day become an English teacher. Applying for a Master's program at UW-Madison, he hopes to graduate in 2024 ready to fire those kiddos up about some English. This is Dylan Lippold.

Me and Charles. You know the drill. Limited edition exclusive intro. Tune in. 91.7 WSUM, recorded live at the studio on 12-7-22.

If you listen close enough on this episode you can tell the slang being used can only come from one place in the entire world, Washington D.C. The Host of Flying Intuition used to live with Oliver his freshman year of college in the dorms at UW-Madison, where they kicked it for awhile before being sent home for COVID in the spring. Oliver is an ultimate frisbee god who is currently on the club tea...

We're (Char and I) going live on WSUM! What more need be said?

The Mother of the Host of Flying Intuition has finally made an appearance on the show! Much awaited I am fully aware. You may just find that you’re listening to the same person on both sides of the microphone. A lot of the ideals that the Host of the show follows comes straight from his mom. Overall, a one-of-a-kind episode from a one-of-a-kind person. This is Kim Fleck.

Hope you're keeping up with the new format. In the past, I have only been uploading episodes of The Badger Variety Hour when Charles and I bring a guest on. Starting...well, now, I will be uploading all episodes regardless of whether or not we get a guest to come on the show for that week. That being said, The Badger Variety Hour episodes without a guest name will be episodes with just Charles and...

Appleton North tennis legend, Alex Gowing, made a special appearance on this episode of Flying Intuition. What has he been up to since high school you ask? Taking a slight hiatus from tennis and instead making some huge life gains. Alex is approaching graduation at the University of Wisconsin-Madison this upcoming spring semester where he plans to earn degrees in both philosophy and neurobiology....

Originally from Massachusetts, Alessia now attends the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she currently majors in biology. Alessia is involved in research on campus through the Freedman Lab. Formerly an avid rugby player, she goes into detail as to how the sport is played. Though, as of lately she has transitioned to powerlifting insane amounts of weight in the gym to stay in peak shape. This i...
