Flights, Football & Anything Else

Mike and Dave divert from the normal format and get a couple flights of Okoberfest beers to taste and rate.  Segment 1 includes this week in sports and a tasting of the GOAT, Sam Adams Okobertfest.   The second segment include 3 contenders and one gives Sam Adams a challenge.  The third segment's random question centers on Oktoberfest trivia questions and one surprise contender...

Mike and Dave, of course cover the week in sports, then besides the "This Day In Sports History" (TDISH), Mike has an IDGAF moment (Podcast Gold!) regarding "Thoughts and Prayers" to a person who is totally asymptomatic, AND...... Question:  who can't do their ABC's in under 3:21.0 !!!!

Mike goes into a zone talking about the NFL and then the MLB, then the NHL. Mike and Dave discuss the particulars of the NFL, NHL, and MLB as well as the PGA and UCF.  They also have their opinions about COVID Logic and college football.   They have a breakdown of what's great to watch on streaming platforms along with a random question that will get you to talk amongst "yourself."

Mike and Dave are excited about all of the sports going on.  Gardenhire retires over food poisoning....WHAT?!?.  TDISH is full of legends with their home run milestones as well as a diver hitting his head on the spring board, and they debate whether or not cereal is a soup.

Mike and Dave celebrate Mike's 53rd birthday and revel in all the sports going on.  They talk about it all and Mike gives his predictions about this week's NFL games.  Let's see how close he can be with his birthday "celebration" handicap.  The random question can get us in a little bit of trouble.

Mike and Dave again give a brief rundown of the week in sports, TDISH has one sad memory and fond memories in Olympic history.   The Random Question takes a strange twist into famous sport scandals and ends with a ride on the short bus with an investigative reporter.  The tastings bring back a pod favorite from Ep 10 that we wanted to see if it holds the test of time.

Mike and Dave have another great tasting triple header and talk about NHL, MLB, PGA, NBA, & NASCAR.  Of course the TDIS segment along with a serious question about the 2020 Cornhole Championships on ESPN.  The Random Question combines alcohol and your favorite sport.

Mike and Dave have a magnificent IPA trifecta in the tastings, they cover the MLB debacle, MBA, UFC, PGA.   Then have their TDIS segment, followed by the Random Question segment - which is truly "random"!!!

Mike and Dave taste some Northern Michigan Craft Beer, talk about the MLB and NBA season re-starts, along with the UFC /Nunes history making weekend,  as well as another TDIS segment.  They close the show with possibly THE most macabre random question (Dave throws up in the corner of the yard :)).

Mike and Dave have a special guest , Jim Summerfield, who is unbeknownst to him, interviewing for the head Brewmaster position for FFAE in this episode.  He enlightens us on the behind the scenes aspects of brewing your own beer.   Also, there is another TDIS segment as well as a interesting Random Question segment which will test your knowledge in the "ANYTHING" category.

Mike and Dave are back face-to-face (6ft apart) doing the pod from the patio of the North Studio!  Sports are coming back with the Coca-Cola 600, possible NHL playoff, no hi-fives or spitting in baseball - WHAT?!?, and THE MATCH - Tiger/Manning vs Mickelson/Brady.  Another TDIS segment with a Finn, Ali, and the Unser family victories. Finishing with one of the best Random Questions yet.

Mike and Dave rejoice in live sports making a comeback thanks in part to "Uncle Dana" and NASCAR, TDIS History, and the random question: how many dumb ways can a person injure themselves.

Mike and Dave taste a 4.+ Nitro Imperial Stout!!! while they scratch their heads and ask why all but 4 of their listeners are so F'ing lazy ($75?!), UFC 249 didn't disappoint, college non-revenue sports on the edge of the cliff looking into the abyss, another TDIS segment,  and where did the neighborhood ice cream peddlers go?

Mike and Dave celebrate Cinco De Mayo early with their selections, TDIS segment, Hafthor Bjronsson and 1,104 lbs!?!,  then ESPN's "The Ocho" to the rescue, and the 2nd FFAE CONTEST for a $75 gift card.....but we need 10 participants - don't be a slacker!!
