Sexual sin is different than all other sin. God warns, "Pay attention" and run.

We have a certain cliche in our country that sounds good: "Follow your heart." But where has that led us? Where is it leading us? Where will it lead to?

Just because something is "not wrong" doesn't make it the wisest thing to do.

There's an App that you can use for every decision of your life and know that you made the wisest decision possible.

Value #6...No matter where this train is going or how great the ride, most people will never get on board until they hear one phrase, "Come and see".

Value #5...What would it look like to create a safe place where people can bump into Jesus?

Value #4...For this "train" called Flatirons to accomplish its mission, each part must help "carry the load".

Value #3...Our chances of experiencing truth and grace increase greatly depending on our ability to connect with others pursuing the same truth and grace.

Value #2...While holding to God's truth sets us free to have a better life, God's grace protects us when we fall short of that truth.

Value #1...Jesus taught that if we are willing to put ourselves under the authority of God's Word, it can lead to a better life.

This week we are going to watch as Abraham finally jumps and the story is not an easy one to digest. What if one of the most offensive stories in the Bible, was meant to offend us?

We live in a culture that values independence and self-sufficiency perhaps above all else. Yet when we look at the Bible we see an emphasis on the importance of recognizing our dependence on God.

Jesus said the greatest commandment is to love God with ALL your heart, with ALL your soul, with ALL your mind and with ALL your strength.

Jesus knew that we would need more than "good teaching" to change our lives...so, He delivers on His Promise.

Jesus promises to send us a "helper". What does that look like?

So if we can talk to God, does He talk back to us?

If broken people call on the name of the LORD and He answers them, then how do I do that? How should I talk to God?

Real faith (confidence that God really is good and keeps His promises) makes a difference in the way we live our life.

Many of us would finish the phrase "All my life..." with something like: "I've felt distant, cut off, separated from God". A lot of us have lived a long time with a deep sense that not only are things not as they should be but we are not as we should be. The question is, how do you really connect with God?

What would a better life look like if I follow Jesus?

All my life I've been searching for something or someone to tell me who I am, what I'm worth and why I'm here.

We're building on truth, covering everything with love and getting rid of the junk. Now is the time to start filling up the house with good stuff.

With a foundation of truth below and a covering of love above, now is the time to start cleaning house.

If building a good life can be compared to building a house, then what's the equivalent of putting the roof on? What is it that provides, shelter and protection from the storms that will come?

The first question is not, "What kind of life do you want to build?", the first question is, "What do you want to build it on?"
