The "guardrails" God gives us for different aspects of our lives are intended to help us enjoy our lives and to help keep us from "wrecking" our faith or our relationships. That applies to God's guardrails for sex too. We live in a culture that values success and champions wealth.  The more money we have and the more stuff we can get, the better.  But there is a time in scripture where Jesus seems to say that richer a person is, the greater the impossibility of him/her getting into heaven.  Is that what He really said?  And if so, is that what He really meant?

We can find all sorts of reasons to celebrate - birthdays, job promotions, Razorback victories.  But one of the events that Jesus said is cause for celebration is when people hate us or treat us badly.  Is that really something to be happy about?  Join us as we talk about why Jesus tells us to jump for joy when someone hates us.

Scripture tells us that God is love and that the world will be able to identify who Christians are by the way they love others. But then Jesus says that if I want to be His disciple I have to hate my family and hate my life. Did He really say that? If so, is that what He really meant? 

We enjoy hearing about God's grace and compassion and love, and we are thankful that He is willing to forgive us for any of our mistakes. But Jesus said that we can't receive that kind of forgiveness from God unless we are willing to offer that kind of forgiveness to those who have hurt us. Wait...did He really say that? 

We love to hear statements that Jesus makes about loving and forgiving us and about coming to rescue us. We like the stories in scripture where Jesus speaks words of encouragement, acceptance and grace. But then there are those times where we read Jesus' words, and we think, "Hold on! What did He just say?" Sometimes Jesus says things that we would rather not hear, statements that challenge us or...

What we choose to see has a huge effect on how we choose to act. Our perceptions of other people, whether they are accurate or not, have a direct impact on how we choose to treat those people.
