Living Faith: Not Alone Ronnie Roberts Text: James 5:13-18 We have prayer to live out our faith in this world. I. We pray and give praise individually. II. We can ask the elders to pray over sickness. III. Together we pray for one another to overcome. IV. The prayer of the righteous is working.

Living Faith: Jesus is Coming Ronnie Roberts Text: James 5:7-11 We anticipate the return of Jesus. Instructions as we wait for Jesus' return: I. Be patient. II. Establish your hearts. III. Do not grumble against one another. IV. Remain steadfast.

Living Faith: Passion for Riches Ronnie Roberts Text: James 5:1-6 James speaks the truth about worldly riches. I. The pursuit of worldly riches will result in misery. II. When desire for wealth takes advantage of others, God knows. III. A self-centered focus on riches will end badly.

Living Faith: Arrogance Ronnie Roberts Text: James 4:11-17 Arrogance is thumbing your nose at God. I. it is arrogant to place yourself in judgment over others. II. it is arrogant to believe your plans will not fail. III. To overcome arrogance, you must submit to the sovereignty of God.

Living Faith: "Warning about Worldliness" Ronnie Roberts Text: James 4:1-10 This world has nothing good for us. I. Our desires create hostilities. II. Our desires come from our friendship with this world. III. We can break our ties to this world through God's grace.

Living Faith: "God Given Wisdom" Ronnie Roberts Text: James 3:13-18 We are to live the wisdom of God. I. The world does not supply this wisdom. II. True wisdom comes from God. III. This wisdom from God is displayed in His people.

Living Faith: "The Tongue in Your Mouth" Ronnie Roberts Text: James 3:1-2 Our tongues, though evil, can be used for good. I. Good teaching is a serious responsibility. II. James defines the troubles of the tongue. a. the tongue is small but powerful. b. the tongue is untamable. c. the tongue reveals more about us than we care to admit.

Living Faith: Useless Faith Speaker: Ronnie Roberts Text: James 2:14-17 We cannot live a useless faith. I. Where there are no works, there is no faith. II. Where there is no faith, there is no salvation. III. We are justified by works and not by faith alone. (vs. 18-26)

Living Faith: No Place for Favoritism Speaker: Ronnie Roberts Text: James 2:1-13 People living for Jesus must not show favoritism I. Favoritism cannot represent Jesus. II. We cannot live according to our worldly judgements. III. We are called to live according to the law of love.

Living Faith: BEING Speaker: Ronnie Roberts Text: James 1:19-27 We are the results of God's goodness. I. Be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger. II. Be doers of the word, and not hearers only. III. Be pure and undefiled in religion.

Living Faith: Spiritual Fitness Speaker: Ronnie Roberts Text: James 1:9-15 James helps us understand spiritual fitness. I. We are weakened by our wealth. II. We are blessed by standing strong. III. We are condemned when we blame others for our condition. IV. We are exalted by God's good giving. (vs. 16-18)

Living Faith: Facing Trials Speaker: Ronnie Roberts Text: James 1:2-11 We face the troubles of life through our faith in God. Four things we need to face our troubles: I. We face our troubles with a joyful attitude. II. We face our troubles with understanding. III. We learn to submit to the good results. IV. We face our troubles with prayerful hearts.

After God's Heart: Building a Legacy Speaker: Ronnie Roberts Text: 1 Chronicles 28:9-10 There is no greater legacy to leave others than a legacy of love and faithfulness to God. I. Serve God with a whole heart and a willing mind. II. Seek God for direction. III. Trust that God will be with you. (vs. 20)

After God's Heart: Amazing Grace How Sweet the Pain Speaker: Ronnie Roberts Text: 2 Samuel 12:1-13 God pursues and exposes the sinner of his sin. I. It is through God's grace that He pursues the sinner. II. It is through God's grace He exposes sin. (vs. 7b-12) III. By God's grace the humble are released from condemnation. (vs. 13)

After God's Heart: House for God Speaker: Ronnie Roberts Text: 2 Samuel 11:1-5 We must beware that sin is always lurking. I. Temptation to sin does not rest or retire. II. Hiding sin only takes us deeper into sinfulness. (vs. 11) III. Sin cannot be hidden from God.

After God's Heart: House for God Speaker: Ronnie Roberts Text: 2 Samuel 7:1-16 We must act according to what God wants. I. My ways are not God's ways. (vs. 4-7; Isaiah 55:8) II. God acts on behalf of His people. (vs. 8-11) III. God's ways will not fail. (vs. 12-16)

After God's Heart: Living in God's Presence Speaker: Ronnie Roberts Text: 2 Samuel 6 Those who have a heart for God desire to live in His Presence I. God is not saft to approach. (vs.5-9) II. God blesses those who live in His presence. (vs. 12) III. Knowing God's blessings sets us free to worship. (vs. 20-22)

After God's Heart: Victory or Tragedy Speaker: Ronnie Roberts Text: 2 Samuel 1:1-16 I. When bearing bad news it should be with truth and gentleness. II. When we grieve we should grieve knowing God is in control.
