We’re preparing to celebrate one of the most miraculous moments in human history. But if we don’t look out, then we will certainly miss out on what matters most.

Who is your neighbor and what does it mean to love them? We are all guilty of choosing who we want to love and who we don’t want to love. We are guilty of choosing who we think is worthy of love when Jesus is the one who commanded us to love all.

How do we have confident hope in God and an unshakeable faith?

How do you face dark days, difficult seasons, challenging circumstances with confidence that you will overcome? How do you have faith that helps in the darkest valley?

Whether it be because of finances, health, future, work, or even the election, we are stressed out more than ever before. But there is a better way to live. We can have lasting peace, freedom from fear, and true hope for the future if we follow the Good Shepherd. Join us as we dig into Psalm 23 and learn about where true peace comes from.

We were created and hardwired to worship, but oftentimes our hearts and our worship tend to be focused on lesser things. Listen in as First Sachse Student Minister, Weston Shattuck digs into the story of Jesus and the Samaritan woman and how it encourages to pursue genuine worship.

When the church experiences hardship or persecution, it never results in a net loss for the church because the church thrives through challenges. The church cannot be stopped because Jesus builds the church.

The path of least resistance is not the path of Christ. If we want to take a hold of Christ, we must first let Christ take a hold of us. If we want to see God accomplish great things through us, we must first see God accomplish great things in us. If we want to see Christ change the world, we must first let Christ change our church.

When we truly come to grips with what it means to follow Christ, when we realize we are in the world but not of the world, when we truly understand that we don’t have anybody but each other, we can finally begin to understand what Christ wants for us.

If we are going to live on mission, then we have to be committed to thinking like missionaries. That means we have to evaluate what we’re doing, how we’re doing it, why we’re doing it, and what we consider successful.

Most of us find ourselves exhausted by all the demands of life because we’re doing too many things that don’t really matter and failing to focus on what matters most. If we’re going to reclaim the call of Christ, then we have to prioritize the priority of Christ.

Jesus never calls people to be glorified cheerleaders. He always calls people to become kingdom contributors.

Within the final words of the letter of 1 Peter, Peter concludes with an Encouragement, a Warning, and a reminder of the Hope we have.

The church has an opportunity to show the world a better way to live. One of the best ways we can do that is by how church leaders relate to church members and how church members relate to church leaders.

Following Christ will create friction in your life. There will be moments of spiritual crisis where the values of this world and the values of Christ collide. How you respond in those moments matters because how you respond in those moments reveals something about the authenticity of your faith.
