Being glorified is the fifth link in the great chain of salvation. Being glorified is God's final act, which He has seen from eternity past to eternity future, where He clothes us in the splendid image of Christ.

In Hosea chapter 12, we see God's desire for the Israelites and us.

The first two links of the chain, foreknown and predestined, we looked at last week. This week, we the links called and justified.

There are five integral parts to the gospel of salvation. We look at the first two today.

Today, we focus on what Romans has to say about how the Spirit liberates us from the bondage to sin and what God's adoption means to us.

It takes the work of the Spirit to kill the desires of the flesh. And it needs to be done daily. God's Spirit is the active agent for obedience and change in our lives.

When we give our lives to Christ, we no longer owe the flesh anything. We owe God everything.

We all face the problem of wanting to live a righteous life, but as Romans 8 shows us, unless we have the Holy Spirit, we are not able to.

Romans 8 shows a distinct difference between those living in the flesh and those living in the Spririt.

Romans 8 is the jewel, the focal point of the book of Romans. This is what all the talk about the Law and Freedom and our security in Christ find their focus.

Wisdom is not simply knowledge, but that knowledge applied. But there are two vastly different types of wisdom.

Our God is the God of the Impossible. And He shows us that He can do the impossible by bringing life where there has been none before

Christ is the genuine, real and authentic Light by which all physical life and spiritual life is measured and revealed.

Sin is waiting for every opportunity to trip us up. So, a true believer needs a strong resolve to love and follow God's law.

As Paul goes from verses 7-13 in Romans 7 to verses 14 on, he goes from past tense to present tense in his discussion of our relationship with sin and the law and the effect it has on our lives.

Although God's law shows us our sin, God's law cannot be blamed/

Through our union with Christ, we have died to the law so that we are free to bear Spiritual fruit for God.

When you receive wages, that means you are getting what you worked for. When you receive a gift, it is not something that is deserved.
