There were lots of fireworks here in West London to celebrate Diwali and possibly some premature bonfire night ones on 4 November. These were some of the loudest ones recorded from my window. Use headphones or good speakers for best stereo sound.

This stereo recording was made with my new Samsung phone which I bought last week. I really like the microphones. They captured the soundscape well.

There were a lot of vocal birds in my garden on Saturday afternoon. With headphones or good speakers, you'll hear the movement as they fly around.

I'm not sure if the thunder freaked the birds out or if they were enjoying it but, for whatever reason, they were very vocal during this storm. Listen with good speakers or headphones to fully immerse yourself in this sounscape.

I started recording because of the thunder but decided to include these extremely vocal parakeets, since they were joining in with the general soundscape. It was a very short thunderstorm.

Highlights from a thunderstorm, lasting over an hour in real time, on the afternoon of Monday 12 July 2021, including a barking dog, a siren and, towards the end, someone whistling.

No need for an alarm clock when you're woken up by this sort of racket around 5 in the morning!

This stereo soundscape includes a blackbird, parakeets and, at one point, a buzzy creature near the microphone. Good headphones or speakers will give the best stereo effect.

Very vocal birds in the garden, accompanied by occasional crunching and drinking noises from me. I never realised passion fruit seeds made such a noise when crunched!

Beautiful birdsong from a robin in my garden, with a neighbour's dog and other sounds in the background. This recording, made on 9 June 2021, is binaural, so best listened to with good speakers or, preferably, headphones.

This was recorded from my living room window soon after 9 AM. There were many very vocal birds!

I recorded this earlier in the week for use at this morning's Church service and I loved the way the Church acoustic made it sound so have reposted the same recording, but with reverb, so it sounds like it was recorded in Church.

This hymn was requested by a Church member for use at our Pentecost service.
