Eastern Kentucky coach Mark Elder has taken his program from 8th to 5th to 3rd in the OVC in his three years, and most of his 7-4 team from 2018 is back at EKU. They were nationally ranked in the HERO Sports FCS preseason poll, and open Thursday with Valparaiso at home. HERO Sports' Brian McLaughlin caught up with Coach Elder this week ahead of the season opener.
