This Sunday, we continued our series through Romans on the promise of faith. We discussed the promise that Abraham's offspring would be heirs of the world, and that the promise is for us as heirs of Abraham and believers in Christ. We grow stronger in our faith because of this promise.

Faith saves, but you have to have the right faith. In today's sermon, as we continue in the book of Romans, we will discuss the true definition of faith and what it means to live by your faith. True faith is very specific and it will affect how we live.

Salvation is free, but not like you think... This Sunday, we continued in our Gospel Basics series through the book of Romans on the topic of salvation. Salvation belongs to God and He gives it to man. In light of salvation, we should live in humility and obedience.

This Sunday's sermon explains the heavy weight of sin in our lives. None are righteous and nothing we do is considered right. This hard truth leads us to repentance and the good news of Christs' finished work on the cross.

This week, as we continued in our Gospel Basics series through the book of Romans, we saw how God's righteousness always prevails. We simply can't do without the righteousness of God that prevails through and over people. The unbelieving, unrighteous, and untruthful will experience the wrath of God. Through Christ we are made right.

This week we finished up Romans 2 as we continued in our sermon titled "God Does Not Play Favorites" as a part of our Gospel Basics series. In this chapter, we learned that there is much goodness in the law of God. The law cannot make us good, but God makes us good through Christ and because of that, we carry out the law of Christ.

We continued our Gospel Basics series reading Romans 2:1-16 and discussing how we are unfit to judge. God judges everyone with true equity, whereas we do not have the ability to do so. If your heart has been made new in Christ, you don't have to fear God's judgement and you don't have to fear man's judgement.

This Sunday, We finished up chapter one of the book of Romans as we continued our Gospel Basics sermon series. We discussed the wrath of God as the consequence for our unbelief and the hope of Christ for those who trust in Him. This Sunday we gathered together as one body for a special outdoor baptism service as we continued our Gospel Basics sermon series through the book of Romans. As Christians we are bound to one another in gratitude, prayer, in person, and mission. And we are bound by the gospel!

This Sunday, we started a new sermon series in Romans called Gospel Basics. As we go through the book of Romans we will learn more about Paul, the gospel, and who we are in relation to the gospel. The gospel simply is that God is holy, we are not, God sent Jesus to give his holiness to us, and we must believe to be accepted by God.

Jesus' radical love breaks down barriers. Elder Ephrem walked us through John 4 where Jesus speaks to the woman at the well. In this story, Jesus breaks many barriers including ethnic, religious, moral, gender, and more. Jesus will break barriers in our lives as well, helping us to live out His radical love.

God's given us a cheat code. Christ already knows perfectly and has already done everything perfectly! Those who hear and obey (know and do) the words of Christ will stand in the storms of the world and in God’s judgement.

There are two roads (and only two roads) leading into eternity; which do you travel? Which road will you walk into eternity, life or destruction? There is no third option. In this weeks sermon, we continued in Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. We discussed how to know which path is the right path and how to know if we are on the right path.

God is not withholding anything good from you. Doesn't it feel that way sometimes though? In today's sermon, we will be discussing how to get God's best. You don't have to pay God with enough faith or ask exactly the right questions to get His best. You just have to go to Him!

Is it ever ok to judge? This Sunday, we continued our series in The Sermon on the Mount on when and how we are allowed to judge. We must start with judging ourselves first, removing the plank from our own eye before the speck in another. You also have to care for your brothers and sisters in Christ rightly, knowing when to back off.

We must fight the urge to treasure this world. Pastor Josh continues our series in the Sermon on the Mount discussing storing up treasures on earth. We were made for a different kind of world and have no need to store up treasures in this world.

This Sunday, we continued our series on the Sermon on the Mount with Matthew 6:1-18. Jesus tells us we should practice our good works in private, not looking for approval or validation for others.

Give your enemies what they don't deserve. The same way God gives you what you don't deserve. Refrain from retaliating against your enemies and in order to do that, you have to love them. Pray for them to receive God's grace and blessing and then live out your prayer. That's how we love our enemies.

Live a yes and no kind of life. In this section of The Sermon on the Mount, Jesus is showing us what the world ought to be, and in contrast, what it actually is. The truth is that we don't live in a yes and no kind of world. and if we did, it would be considered paradise. As Christian's we are called to live a yes and no kind of life. Everyone who is angry with his brother is guilty of murder. Jesus defines murder in the sermon on the mount. Anyone who has anger toward another person and anyone who "insults" (diminishing the value of an image bearer of God) has a seed of murder in their heart. The truth about murder is that it earns judgement, it is defined by Jesus and in order to avoid judgement, we have to trust in Jesus.

We must keep and teach every single Old Testament commandment... through Jesus! The only way for us to keep, teach, and understand the OT is through the lense of Jesus. Jesus didn't do away with the OT, He accomplished it. Without Jesus it is impossible to fulfill the righteousness required by the Law, but He came to accomplish the Law.

Christian, show the world heaven. How do we live as a children of heaven in a world that does not know heaven? We remember our role as ambassadors of heaven. The world will know our love for Christ by our presence (being salt) and by our adherence to the truth (we are the light).

Hear the impossible good of Christ and be glad. This Sunday we focused on the beatitudes in Jesus Sermon on the Mount. We are convicted to not seek the worlds joy, those who have experiences the world's pain are comforted, and we are strengthened to find the difficult road to pure joy in the Lord.

This Sunday we began a new sermon series titled "Christianity Without Hypocrisy" where we come to find that Christianity is not doing something, but being something. This sermon focuses on Jesus' Sermon on the Mount which is a glorious picture of what it means to truly be everything God has made you to be. We discussed human flourishing and walking with Christ.

Pastor Josh covers Numbers 32 and gives practical applications from Scripture on knowing if our plans are God-honoring. First, we need to seek counsel from people who know the Lord and not be surprised when they disagree with us. We need to receive their counsel with humility and follow their advice. We can't be offended by their loving oversight. Christ equips His church for the work of ministry...
