It is a travesty to be forgotten, our wisdom lost and all of the help we have offered not remembered. But that is a reality in life. We will not be recognized like we feel we ought to be. Yet we should pursue wisdom and helpfulness for the inherent value of both, without the need to be recognized. If we only pursue them for being recognized, we will be disappointed. We're skipping chapter 8 because it is about navigating the royal court and final justice (both are topics we've covered in the past year). One thing is for certain (vv. 1-6) while so many things are uncertain (vv. 11-12), so focus on the simple things that are wise (vv. 7-10). For more info on our church visit fbcdavis.org.
