Did you know that there are show choir blogs? Neither did we. In S5E11, "City of Angels,"  we follow New Directions to Nationals of… whatever year this is in canon…to Los Angeles. Mr. Schue recruits Sam to be the New Finn (not to be confused with Blaine, who we all know to be the New Rachel), tasked with keeping up spirit and enthusiasm. The Hudson-Hummel clan is out in full force with t...

Hello, Fire Fam. We're back with another 9-1-1   Mini Series episode because, frankly, too much happened in 8x09 and 8x10 to not talk about. We have to give it up for Scream Queen of the Aughts, Jennifer Love Hewitt, for fully bringing it during her latest banana nut story line, even if we have critiques about it being a little recycled. We also lament the loss the quirky procedural 911 calls from...

Welcome back, Fire Fam. Today's 9-1-1  Mini Series bonus episode focuses on two characters who have a lot going on at the moment: Buck and Eddie and buckandeddie . With the recent behind-the-scenes footage, Emily and Alison deep-dive into speculation of what the filming could mean for 9-1-1 season 8b and the characters' futures. (Spoiler spec abounds!). Does this actually mean buddie will...

Have you ever wanted to spend more  time in your high school than strictly necessary? If so, this episode of Glee is for you. This is S5E10, "Trio."  At McKinley, Tina, Blaine and Sam decide to the most of their last days of the school year by attempting to stage a "senior lock-in." In New York, Rachel bonds with Elliott, which annoys Santana and sets off even further antagonis...

Welcome to the second episode in our 9-1-1 Mini Series. Alison and Emily discuss Eddie Diaz's possible queer experience and how the on-screen narrative is driving towards that revelation. On purpose or not? You decide. They also chat at length about the emotional and physical rollercoaster Buck and Eddie are currently trapped on and why that might be behind the current fandom obsession behind putt...

Everyone's feuding again this week on Glee on the Rocks. This is S5E9, "Frenemies."   Glee once again raises the age old question: are these people even friends at all? Probably not. Artie and Tina, two of our New Directions OGs, compete for both Senior Class Valedictorian and a solo at Nationals. Which...is a like a week or two away. You'd think they'd have this set list locked up by now. In NYC,...

Christmas is coming and what more could we ask for than a truly chaotic, non-canonical episode of Glee. This is the infamous S5E8, "Previously Unaired Christmas."   While Glee's Christmas episodes are generally beloved by fans, this is not one of them. In an alternate version of Lima, Ohio where The Glee Club gets things done, the New Directions are preparing for the Annual Christmas Decoration co...

Hello #FireFam. We're here to hit you with a surprise, wanted or unwanted. We're starting a mini series about 9-1-1.   Yeah, another Ryan Murphy show. Because we're masochists. It even gets it's own podcast cover art. And this is the first episode. Emily and Alison share how they fell into the 9-1-1 universe (slowly, then all at once for Alison), discuss their favorite characters and storylines, a...

Have you ever wondered what an episode of Glee would be like while crashed out on carbon monoxide poisoning? Well, now you know. This is S5E7, "Puppet Master."   Blaine Warbler Anderson struggles to be seen as a leader of the New Directions despite his longevity in the club. A gas leak in the choir room leads to puppet-filled hallucinations that somehow leads to no one receiving medical attention....

Billy Joel is next on the Glee Tribute Episode chopping block as the New Directions seniors remember it's almost time to move on out of McKinley High. This is S5E6, "Movin' Out."   Graduation looms large (maybe larger than Nationals) and Blaine and Sam take a week off school to take a sneak peek at their upcoming lives in New York City. Artie attempts to encourage Becky to take a...

Google searches for twerking peaked in August of 2013. So of course Glee  dedicated an episode to it that aired in October of that year. This is S5E5, "The End of Twerk."   Blaine gets caught throwing it back in the choir room, inspiring Mr. Schuester to attempt to incorporate the dance into The New Directions' repertoire. It goes just as well as you can imagine. Unique struggles to...

Welcome to the Season 2 finale of Pack Dynamics: A Teen Wolf Podcast. This is 2x12, "Master Plan."   Gerard Argent reveals his ultimate master plan (get it? It's the episode title), setting the stage for a dramatic showdown worthy of a season finale. Assumed dead at the end of the last episode, Jackson Whittemore reemerges during the final battle, commanded by Gerard to attack the we...

This week on Pack Dynamics: A Teen Wolf Podcast we expect the unexpected on the penultimate episode of Season 2. This is S2E11, "Battlefield."   With Scott academically ineligible to play in the championship lacrosse game, Stiles is thrust into the big game despite a serious lack of previous field time. But the championship isn't the only thing on the line - Gerard is planning on act...

This week on Pack Dynamics: A Teen Wolf Podcast it's a rough night at the Beacon Hills Sheriff's department. This is 2x10, "Fury. "   Scott and Stiles try to convince the Sheriff that Creepy Matt is the true villain behind all of the murders, not Mr. Harris (even if Mr. Harris still sucks). But Matt is a step ahead of them, leading to a chaotic battle at the Sheriff's departm...

This week on Glee on the Rocks  we're parsing one of the greatest questions of human history: are you a Katy or are you a Gaga? This is S5E4, "A Katy or a Gaga."    Nationals is looming and the latest competition, Throat Explosion, are stepping on the New Directions' niche of being "outsiders." Instead of dividing the New Directions into boys and girls for this week&#39...

This week on Pack Dynamics: A Teen Wolf Podcast we're dressing up and doing our hair for S2E9, "Party Guessed." It's Lydia Martin's birthday, but not everything is a celebration. She's plagued by nightmares of Peter Hale, who convinces her to do something "special" for him during her birthday party, which just so happens to coincide with the Worm Moon. We wouldn...

This week on Pack Dynamics: A Teen Wolf Podcast we're celebrating our 20th episode! Thanks for being here, friends. This is S2E8, "Raving."   Chaos explodes at a secret (maybe not-so-secret) rave where Scott and Stiles attempt to trap Jackson before the Argents get to him. Sheriff Stilinski struggles to make sense of the ongoing killings when he doesn't have all of the pieces to...

This week on Pack Dynamics: A Teen Wolf Podcast we're slithering into S2E7, "Restraint."   The secrets of Jackson Whittemore are slowly getting revealed as Erica tells the Pack about Jackson's birth parents after a well-earned restraining order sidelines Scott and Stiles' investigations into the Kanima. But someone is pulling Jackson (and the Kanima's) strings and it'...

This week on Pack Dynamics: A Teen Wolf Podcast we're jumping into S2E6, "Frenemy."   We explore Jackson's shocking (and really awesome looking) transformation into the dangerous Kanima. His true motivations are currently unknown, but everyone in Beacon Hills is after him. The stakes climb ever higher as we slide into the second half of the season. Lydia grows (rightfully) suspic...

This week on Pack Dynamics: A Teen Wolf Podcast we're dissecting S2E5, "Venomous."   Derek Hale suspects Lydia Martin of being the mysterious shapeshifter, forcing Scott McCall to rally his pack, and even some enemies, to protect her, leading to a pack vs. pack showdown. As if high school chemistry class isn't hard enough, the classroom becomes a battleground with Erica Reyes and...

This week on Glee on the Rocks we're talking S5E3, "The Quarterback."   When a television show intersects with real-life tragedy, the aftermath can be a delicate dance between the narrative and respect. "The Quarterback" serves as Glee's  heartfelt tribute to Cory Monteith and his beloved character, Finn Hudson. As we navigate through the episode, we discuss how Glee  c...

This week on Pack Dynamics: A Teen Wolf Podcast we're dissecting S2E4, "Abomination."   It's time to tackle the mystery of the Kanima—a lizard-like shapeshifter that's been wreaking havoc in our poor Beacon Hills. (Can this town catch a break??) Emily and Alison also delve into the intricate dynamics of the Argent family and the concept of trust within a lineage of werewolf h...

This week on Pack Dynamics: A Teen Wolf Podcast we're plunging into the icy depths S2E3, "Ice Pick."   The Beacon Hills ice rink becomes a battleground for identity and power as we witness the rise of Erica Reyes, another character who undergoes a complex transformation in search of power and acceptance amongst her peers. As the Hale pack grows, loyalties are tested and new alliances...
