Faithful is the Word

The study of the Bible is a foundational spiritual discipline that produces phenomenal results.  Yet, many don't experience that due to a faulty way of viewing God's Word and reading it.  Today, we focus on the purpose of the Bible, why you should read it daily, and how to do so, so that you may know God personally.

We fail to experience the benefits of our spiritual disciplines when we have a false view of God.  The reality is that God does amazing things for us and through us when we have a loving relationship with Him.  But our motivation should not be to get something in return for our efforts.  It should be something better.

Growing closer to God and maturing in our faith as Jesus followers requires us to be faithful in the little things which God then uses to do big things in us and through us.  Today, we focus on a simple morning task that can do just that.

Many Christians treat the moment when they confessed Jesus as their Lord and Savior as the finish line.  In reality, it was the starting line that ought to propel them into a new life, going from consumers of the Gospel to coworkers of the Gospel.

People tend to struggle with shame as a result of their actions, while others struggle with pain as a result of the actions of others.  There is one way we can respond to both that will make things worse and only one way that can make it better.
