It is through God’s grace that the Holy Spirit gives us a hope that produces a holy lifestyle.  Until the end of times, our beliefs about God should be marked by the following three behaviors in the mean-time: training, waiting and working.

The Apocalyptic Books in the Bible are meant for more than just trying to predict the future.  They give us a glimpse of a future hope that inspires us to live faithfully and powerfully in the present.

The Epistles are a collection of letters in the New Testament that was written to individuals and Churches to help bring clarity to how to live by and apply the New Covenant and the New Commandment that Christ gave his Church, which was to love others as Jesus loved us.  This one rule closes all the loopholes to sin, even when it is not clearly defined in the Bible.

 The Gospels contain a revolutionary narrative, showcasing how Jesus  bridges the gap between everything God is doing in the world in the Old  Testament and the new things that he was about to do in the world. 

 The Prophetic Books of the Bible contain amazing proclamations of a God  who is relentless in loving a restless people.  In these books, we can  see God's heart for us today, as He has made a way through Jesus in the  Spirit for everyone to come back to the Father! 

The Bible has five books that are found in the categorized as the Wisdom Books (Job, Psalms, Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and Song of Solomon).  Not only do they contain wise sayings that we can apply to our lives but they also reveal how no amount of understanding can produce a wise person.  In this sermon you realize that wisdom is not something we seek but rather someone who seeks us.

The books from Joshua through Esther cover over 1,000 of Jewish history.  The narrative that is found in this category titled the History Books of the Bible, not only tell us a story of a nation, but it reveals who God is and how what part He is playing in writing us into His incredible story of love.

 The first five books of the Bible (The Books of the Law) are difficult for some people to read, yet they are so important for us to better understand who God really is.  In this episode, I'm going to help you understand the big picture of this section of the Bible so you can gain a better picture of God's love for you!
