Years ago I had a teacher give me some great advice, that has always stuck with me, when I was trying to deal with a friend that just couldn’t see the damage they were doing to their life.

When someone comes up to you and says the Lord told me to tell you this or a minister preaching from the pulpit about a new revelation or something happens in the world or comes across your social media feed, what should you do?

Did you know that the devil has laid a trap for us? Of course he has. But God desires to tell us about those traps and about the things that will bless us in life. We just need to take the time to do what He says to find out what those things are

I went on a mission trip to Peru years ago and on my last day I had a door man from the school I taught at hunting me down all across the sitting. What great lengths he went to just do his job. What about us?

Do your actions, words, and thoughts agree with your beliefs? If someone was to see you going around living your life, would they be able to tell what you believe based on those things? Would they be able to tell that you’re Christian?

Charles Finney was a great revival list of the 1800s. Whole towns and cities were changed during his meetings. Crime rates dropped dramatically. Today we can still feel the effects of his revival meetings. But it wasn’t because of his preaching that he was a success. It was something else.

Are you a searcher of truth? Or do you just accept what comes your way when someone says it’s the truth? Sadly, most people don’t follow after the truth. They follow after emotions or what they perceive to be the truth.

It's important to know what you believe. And it's important to know the Word. There's too many Christians that just set on a pew and fifty years after they got saved, they're in the same spiritual condition, and they die. Then they get to Heaven and find out that there was so much more that they could have had. The problem is, you can't have something if you don't know you can't have it.
