When God tests our faith will He find it genuine?

Here we see sodom and Gomorrah get destroyed because of the wickedness that went on there. We see God keep His word toward Abraham giving him a child at 100 years old.

Here we see how important it is to listen to God and trust His timing and the plans He has for us. Abraham and Sarah didn’t do that and because of that we see the repercussions of it til this day in the Middle East.

Here we learn just how strong faith and obedience to God is even in the Old Testament. Abram connected to God not by his works but by the faith he had in Him each and everyday of his life.

Today we conclude the book of Job. We learn from the book of Job that our toughest climbs leads to the best views. Job stayed faithful to God through all the hardships and was blessed with double than he had before in his second half of life.

Today we finally hear God speak. After all the questioning we do and Job did through this book, God never responded in anger. Our God is a patient, loving and sovereign God.

Here we hear a lot more from Elihu. We see the humbleness of Job on display as he continues to take the words of those are him like sticks and stones.

Today we learn the power in listening and letting everyone talk. When we talk or “give advice”, like everyone likes to do these days, we aren’t listening and when we listen is when we learn.

Here we see Job reach his lowest point in life, all while reaching his lowest point he still knows God is in control. We learn that we need to listen more than speak so we can know what God is doing in our lives.

Here we see a very wide Job that is later quoted by Solomon. We see Job being sad and down in himself but never losing faith in God even though his trials and tribulations. The real treasure of this world is wisdom from what we learn today.

Here we learn that when we are weak that’s when we are strong. Job finds beauty in his weakness.

Here we start to see Job turn and have hope. We see him transition from cursing God to accepting His works. God is always at work.

Here we see how we can better be there for friends and family who are mourning or going through a tough time.

Here we see Job getting a second win and gathering strength in the midst of all he’s been going through. We also learn the meaning of the word “deserve”, in reality we deserve hell and death but many people feel that we deserve so much more and that creates entitlement.

Here we see a complete vulnerability in Job. We also learn how we can be there for friends when they go through tribulations in their life.

Here we see Job have everything life can ask for and also have everything taken away from him. We learn to trust God the right way.

Here we see the post flood of Noah. We see what it’s like when humans try to reach heaven by their own doings and we briefly talk about what it means to have a rest day.
