Jesus is sharing with His disciples one final time and says that He is the Light. He also reveals to us that He is the Light and our solution out of the darkness. Dr. Sawyer encourages our church with a story in the life of John the Baptist dealing specifically with the questions he had for Jesus while suffering in prison. The strongest believers battled doubts but it paved the way for deeper faith to flourish.  Matthew 11:2-11.

Pastor Powell teaches on the second aspect to displaying genuine religion as Christians- serving others. Particularly, serving those who legitimately need help and cannot do anything in return. Isaiah 1:10-18, 1 John 3:17-18. James 1:26-27.

Pastor Powell shares how revival is really only possible in a church when the families in that church are experiencing God's blessings themselves. Only when families admit their needs and struggles, led by the head of the home, and, like Jacob, they return to the place where God showed Himself real to them can there be revival in the home.  Genesis 35:1,2.

Most of us as believers are "professional" hearers in that we have heard and are hearing so much Bible truth. Pastor encourages us to not just listen to the Word but to live-out the Word in our lives.  James 1:22-25
