The Church on the Move - A Scattered People

God has shown His extraordinary and unfailing love for His people by sending His Son Jesus Christ to die for them, even when they were weak and ungodly and still sinners.

Those who have been justified by faith in Jesus Christ can confidently hope in the future glory that awaits them, even in the midst of suffering.

Hope Against Hope: Faith That Stares Down The Impossible

Since God will redeem people from every tongue, every tribe, and every nation, we as a church therefore should be eager and motivated then to take the Gospel to the nations.

The God who kept His promises to Abraham is the same God who faithfully saves all those who place their faith in His Son and who will keep each and every promise He has made to them as well.

All who trust in Jesus Christ are declared righteous by God and become part of the same family of God.

Those who have been declared righteous by God are marked by humility before God, unity with the people of God regardless of their race, and a growing desire to uphold the righteous requirements of the law.

God is both just and the justifier, because through the sacrificial death of His Son, Jesus Christ, He has secured redemption, satisfied His righteous wrath against sin, and thereby made a way then for sinners to be declared righteous by faith in Jesus Christ.

Since Jesus Christ rose from the dead, we must keep the truth of the resurrection at the forefront of our minds, lest we forget about it, and we must live daily in the power and in the hope of the resurrection as well.

Since all of mankind in their natural condition are totally depraved, under the power of sin, and unable to save themselves, salvation then must come entirely by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ.

God’s covenantal privileges are real, His judgement is faithful and righteous, and His gospel never gives His people license to sin.

It’s not enough to say we’re Christians merely based on outward appearance, because our righteousness is based on the matter of the heart—a heart that is renewed and brings forth glory to God in our deeds, through repentance.

God did not give His people privileges to make them proud, but instead so that they would walk in obedience. Therefore, when they use them for selfish gain and don’t practice what they preach, their hypocrisy dishonors God before a watching world.

Since the work of the law is written on the human heart, and the conscience bears witness to God’s moral standards, no one will be able to claim on the day of judgment, “I didn’t know right from wrong.”

On the last day, God will judge every person, and He will render to each according to their works, works that will reveal whether they truly had saving faith or not.

The same God who justly judges the openly unrighteous also justly judges the self-righteous hypocrite. Therefore, fallen man must not excuse their sin, but instead repent and come to faith in Jesus Christ in order to escape the condemnation that they justly deserve.

God’s righteous wrath falls upon sinful rebels by giving them up to impurity, dishonorable passions, and a debased mind.

God’s wrath is revealed not because He is unloving, but because He is holy, and because humanity, though knowing God, refuses to honor Him and worships the creation instead of the creator.  

We have no reason to be ashamed of the gospel, since by faith in the gospel we are forgiven of our sins, clothed in the righteousness of Christ, and set free to obey God willingly.

A life shaped by the gospel is marked by prayer for one another, mutual encouragement within the church, and faithful gospel proclamation to unbelievers and believers alike.
