In Jeremiah 36, we read of King Jehoiakim silencing and destroying the word of God spoken by Jeremiah in a shocking show of disrespect for God and His word. In this study, Evangelist Gavin Williams seeks to see how Jehoiakim got to that point and how we can avoid the same fate in our lives.

1 Thessalonians 5:12-22. Every church contains people at various places in their walk with Jesus. How do we interact with them? How do we relate to them? In this study, Evangelist Jacob Holman looks at four instructions Paul gave to the church in Thessalonica to help us see that all brethren are beloved and not bothersome.

In Romans 15, Paul urged all Christians to sacrifice anything that would hinder the church's unity in Christ. In this study, Evangelist Gavin Williams examines the profound ways in which Paul highlights Jesus's remarkable example of sacrifice.

Ephesians 5:22-23. Although our world may mock, misunderstand, redefine, and relegate marriage to a place of little or no significance, God holds marriage in high regard. In this first part of a two-part study, Evangelist Jacob Holman explores Paul's writings about marriage in Ephesians 5 to help us understand our Father's will for marriage.

While the Old Testament book of Zephaniah contains warnings for God's people and the world, it also contains promises to those who humbly seek Him. As we continue our study of the Minor Prophets, Evangelist Jacob Holman looks at Zephaniah and considers how to seek God humbly today.

Psalm 90. Though our life on earth is brief, our God is eternal. In this study, Evangelist Jacob Holman considers what Moses wrote in Psalm 90 about the God who is "from everlasting to everlasting."

Although we don’t typically like end-of-year reviews and final exams, they serve a useful purpose. In this study, Evangelist Jacob Holman examines our individual and collective selves to see how well we have done with our congregational theme of "Growing Together" this past year.

Revelation 4-5. In this chapter, John is given a vision that shows the savior of the world arriving in the throne room of God. In this study, Evangelist Gavin Williams explores what this passage shows us about who Jesus is and what role that has in our lives today.

Psalm 78. Since sin entered the world, God's word has been under assault. It continues today. God has charged parents to protect and prepare their children. This study by Evangelist Jacob Holman looks at the consequences if we don't teach our children about our faith and the truth.

1 Peter 4:7-11. Although the concept of stewardship has been largely forgotten in our current culture, Scripture says much about it. In this study, Evangelist Jacob Holman considers three Biblical truths of stewardship that can help us be "good stewards of the manifold grace of God."

Psalm 73. In this psalm, Asaph, a faithful believer, seeks to answer how God can be good if there is so much injustice in the world. This study by Gavin Williams takes a closer look at Psalm 73 and how Asaph concludes: "it is good to be near God."

This is the first in our congregational theme studies for 2025. This year, the theme is "Lives of Worship," and we begin by looking at Psalms 133-134 – two of the Psalms of Ascent. This study by Evangelists Jacob Holman and Gavin Williams delves into how Psalms 133 and 134 describe the blessedness of united, "together" worship of God.

Mark 16:15. Although we know the instruction of Jesus to "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation," although simple to understand, it is often difficult to do. In this first of a two-part study, Evangelist Jacob Holman identifies some of the common obstacles we experience in evangelism.

Acts 4:29-31. Following Jesus' command to "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation" can be challenging to do. In this second of a two-part study, Evangelist Jacob Holman examines some of the ways we can overcome some common obstacles to following the instructions of Jesus.

John 1:35-42. Peter was a bold and eloquent speaker at Pentecost. However, if it wasn't for his brother Andrew, Peter might have never come to Jesus. There are only a few references to Andrew in the Bible, who lived in the shadow of his brother Peter. In this study, Evangelist Timothy Ruffin looks at the underappreciated and unheard Andrew who valued the small things.

A psalm of ascent (or Song of Ascent) was traditionally sung by Jewish pilgrims as they journeyed to Jerusalem for a major festival. The Song of Ascent in Psalm 129 focuses on the injustice of the world around us. In this study, Evangelists Jacob Holman and Gavin Williams look at how we can learn to worship God through the psalm.

Luke 7:36-50. At a dinner party, a sinful woman makes a scene. Yet, at the end of the story, Jesus praises her for the faith she has in Him. In this study, Evangelist Gavin Williams uncovers what this woman understood about Jesus.

Acts 16:25-34. In Acts 16, we read of an intriguing account of two prisoners helping a jailer and his household find Jesus. In this study, Evangelist Jacob Holman examines the account of the conversion of the Philippian Jailer to help motivate those outside of Christ to follow Him and to encourage and motivate those in Christ to help others find Him.

The Old Testament prophet, Micah, was contemporary with Isaiah and Hosea. We read the book for an overview of Micah's writings and their stern message of judgment. In this study, Evangelist Gavin Williams examines Micah's main message, the steadfast love of God, and the context in which the book was written.

The Old Testament prophet Micah harshly denounced the corruption and injustice of the leaders in Judah and warned them of impending divine judgment and destruction of Jerusalem if they did not repent. This study by Evangelist Gavin Williams examines the book of Micah and how it shows God's desire to give all people hope despite the evil in the world.

2 Thessalonians 1:1-4. Fairview currently has a lot of spiritual momentum, which is great. But where do we go from here, and how do we keep it going? What dangers lie ahead? With those questions in mind, Evangelist Jacob Holman looks at spiritual momentum in this study.

We continue with our Q&A series. This study answers: “Are we "watchmen" today?" "Did Jesus give the disciples the power to forgive sin?" and "What are angels for?" In this study, Evangelists Jacob Holman and Gavin Williams answer more Bible questions.
