Humility puts others' needs and interests ahead of ours; it respects everyone, even those who don't deserve it, and humility influences people toward faith. In Daniel chapter 4, we see how humility gives you credibility.

Hope is not just wishful thinking or a positive mental attitude. As we learn in Daniel 3, true hope is finding absolute confidence in God no matter the outcome.

A tested, genuine faith is the light in the darkness. (Daniel 2)

Daniel offers us a model for thriving in the midst of a chaotic world. His hope, humility and wisdom can serve as a blueprint to help us be a light in the darkness.

God is a specialist in the impossible and wants to do things in us far more than for us. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21  to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. - Ephesians 3:20-21

In Romans 16:25-27 , we see what God does ( " Now to him who is able to strengthen you …" v.25) and who He is ( “… to the only wise God be glory forevermore through Jesus Christ!” v.27) as we continue to look at how doxologies can "elevate" our faith.

Doxologies teach us to worship God and about the God we worship. A healthy Christ-follower needs rest - spiritual rest, physical rest, emotional rest, and relational rest. Let's take a look at how God gives us strength when we practice and experience Sabbath rest.

We were created to live in community, not just in a community. As we look at the early church in the book of Acts, we'll see how living in community is one more way God gives us strength.

If we look at the life of Jesus, we see a very valuable lesson about prayer: the busier we get in life, the more time we need with God. Regardless of how or when you pray, if you give God the space, He will impact your life.

If we want to find new strength, if we want to know the will of God, if we want to have peace, we have to allow God’s word to be God’s Word. The Bible shows us who God is, who He wants us to be, and therefore should be our final authority for everything we believe or do.

If 2023 is anything like the last couple, we’re going to need new strength. While everyone around us is checking out, burning out or lashing out, God has something better for those who wait on Him. Join us this month we say together, “Give Me Strength!” There are small, but specific spiritual practices that God can use to grow our endurance, our wisdom, our grace, and our strength.

Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Let us commit to love as we have been loved by God.

Love doesn't hope others will sin, gossip about sin, or join in sin. It seeks truth, shares God's goodness, and celebrates other's success.

Love doesn't not allow itself to be easily provoked or to keep a record of the failures of others. Love remembers that God forgives and forgets!

When love insists on its own way, it becomes selfish or, even worse, self-seeking and manipulative. But godly love is a love that faces outward as it focuses on goodness, blessings, and joy for others. 

Love is not arrogant or rude, both of which are rooted in selfishness. Instead, love acknowledges that we are not the center of the universe and looks to love others selflessly.

At the core, envy and boasting are questioning God’s plan, His choices, and His goodness through rebellion. Christ-centeredness is the only way to overcome envy or boasting.

Love exercises patience and shows kindness, yet long-suffering love and undeserved kindness that honors God is so hard that we can’t practice it without God’s help.

Jesus told His followers there was one thing they should be known for: their love! Yet, love may be the most overused word and under-lived value today. In this series on love, we will look at 1 Corinthians 13 to see what love means to a Christ-follower and how we can live out God’s love with our actions and attitudes.
