We continue with our series on the liturgy with a sermon on Holy Communion and who meets us there. It's God, yes; it's a human, yes; in fact, it's Jesus the Son of God who is our neighbor.

On this Tenth Sunday after Pentecost, we start a new sermon series on the liturgy--divine service--and how God is at work in it. Instead of making worship about something we give to God, the witness of the scripture and history of the church suggests that worship is something God gives us, not the other way around!
