There is something powerful about coming to the table with friends and family. In the gospel of John we see this moment of conversation around the table where Jesus reminds us we have a place at the table because of His work. In fact, even in His going back to the Father He prepares a place for us at the table.

Is it even possible for humans to be altruistic in our motivation toward others? You may have heard that believers in Jesus go "from glory to glory." When it comes to the light and dark motif of scripture one thing is certain. Light always overcomes the darkness. Judas allows the dark places of the soul to take over, but even in the midst of his descent, Jesus offers forgiveness.
