Looking at God’s word is meant to change you. You are meant to put His word into action.

Be doers if the word, not just hearers...

Temptation is from the world, not from God. God only gives good and perfect gifts. Our heart, desires and actions lead us either to a birth in sin or as new creations in God.

Tests and trials come from God. Temptations come from sin in us.

FAITH - Trials and tests are inevitable. Our focus needs to be forward, with an active attitude. It’s all about his holiness, his humility and his harvest.

Are you facing trials in life? The book of James is for you. It all starts with faith, the root of your salvation and the foundation of your every action.

Consider it joy when you have various trials to face. Testing your faith produces steadfastness- you become more like God as you lean on him.

Despite the lack of love for God, God still loves us as a parent loves wayward children. Realize it or not, our Heavenly Father loves beyond our understanding. Turn to the Father’s love, and always trust him.

A nation reaps what it sows. God warns the northern kingdom that it is destined to reap the judgement of death because of it’s sin. Their hearts were false - they had reject God. What a timely warning for us today. We still need God just as much today.

God’s answer to the modern day prosperity message. It’s not at all about our prosperity, it’s about our heart for God’s presence.

What happens when a nation turns from God

A strong message against letting pride separate you from God.

God reveals his heart towards those unrepentant

God calls on the northern kingdom to repent. When we reject his presence, we choose sin. Sin will always be judged.

God accuses the northern kingdom Israel of being destroyed as a people for lack of knowledge of God. God’s word needs to be central in our lives.

God explains through Hosea why the generation in the northern kingdom is being rejected. What a powerful message for us to hear today!

A great lesson in forgiveness. A great prophecy for the Northern Kingdom. A great warning to the unfaithful. ⭐️

The Lord will show Israel mercy after a time of spiritual discipline. Hosea must purchase his wife back out of slavery for a second period of unfaithfulness. This displays God’s faithfulness to us, though none are deserving.

Hosea prophesied that God will punish and discipline the nation Israel, like an unfaithful bride, so that her heart will change.

God calls Hosea to marry, start a family, but warns him that his bride, his marriage will be unfaithful. He will represent God’s love for the nation Israel. What amazing insight we have into God’s heart for his people.

As Jesus Christ loved us, we should love him back. We do this by our verbal praise, sharing our possessions, and doing good works. We also do this by being obedient to our leaders in God’s word, and prayerful for others. The benediction ends with a call to maturity in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, being accomplished through Jesus Christ.
