1. Confidence in Grace- Jesus becomes our priest for the atoning sacrifice therefore we have confidence to approach God as we stand behind the blood of Jesus 2. Draw near- You are invited into His presence so accept God's grace and grow in it 3. Christian growth is not automatic. The world is ending. Take care not to be carried away. Keep growing!

And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.

Do I believe in the Son of God? Yes, I believe in the Son --> No, I am not condemned No, I don't believe in the Son --> Yes, I stand condemned

Who is God? John 1:18 - The one and only Son, who is himself God and is at the Father's side, he has made him known. …Know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge. Eph 3:17-19 God loves THIS world and the love of God is for YOU.

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.

Born of the flesh vs. born of the Spirit. Have you experienced the new birth? Having begun by the Spirit, are you now being perfected by the flesh?

Are we guilty of taking something holy and making it unholy?

Jesus goes for your heart. Jesus changes your identity. Jesus calls you to follow. Jesus see who you are.

In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins. 1 John 19-34

The Significance of the resurrection -Forgiveness -Eternal Life -Lordship

Mat 26:39 - And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.”

Mat 21:9 - And the crowds that went before him and that followed him were shouting, “Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”

Peter, James and John ascend the mountain with Jesus and witness his awesome and majestic transfiguration.

A few weeks ago we learnt about what the fear of God means. Now we are in the second week of learning about the effects of the fear of God. The fear of the Lord is sanctifying. 1 Peter 1:13-19 Sanctification is being saved from the power of sin. What is the fear Peter talks about?
