In the REAL Mixtape era of the early to mid 90s there were songs you only heard on Mixtapes, and without the Internet, most only heard from trading tapes/CDs or riding around with friends, wanted to point out some.

In the 80s and 90s there were always sports references in Hip Hop, the more obscure the better ... this is AFTER Basketball by Kurtis Blow. Anyway, wanted to highlight a few, let me know your favorites

In the 80s a lot of songs dropped and they were "My" this or "My" that, I wanted to take some time to talk about a few of my favorites back when Hip Hop was relatable Which were your favorites? What Did I not mention?

There are a ton of people with the notion that before Rakim made a song everyone rhymed like Dr. Seuss books, while Rakim did it dope and did it better than most, it wasn't the case. Give me 10 minutes.
