How to T.R.U.S.T In God 06.09.2023

In these perilous times every day is a step of faith. We can’t always know what is around the corner in our homes, at work, or in our community. With so much going on, we can begin to let our faith in God weaken. If we are to be the light and salt in the earth, we need to continue to T.R.U.S.T. T – Take steps of faith. “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near...

Choose Life 31.08.2023

When the Israelites were coming to the Promised Land, God gave them clear and distinct instructions to follow. He didn’t give a series of rules and regulations because He wanted to control them. Rather, He wanted them to live a good life filled with joy, peace, and the security of His presence. By choosing to obey God’s commands, they were choosing life. By choosing to disobey God’s commands, they...

How To FORGIVE 30.08.2023

As believers we desire to be forgiven freely from God, but sometimes we struggle with freely forgive others. We may be tempted to think that forgiveness can be freely given for some things and not so much for other offenses. However, the truth is that if we don’t forgive—we do ourselves more harm than we do to those who’ve hurt us. A preacher once explained it’s like we drink the poison that we ma...

The Devil Made Me Do It ( Part 2 ) 29.08.2023

The devil wants us to pretend that he doesn’t exist. If we attempt to ignore his influence on our lives, he will multiply destruction in our families and communities. (John 10:10) Christians are most effective against the strategies of Satan when we are adequately prepared to deal with him. Our best defense is a great offense of knowledge and faith in God’s word to know the truths and lies. Lie: S...

It's Impossible 15.08.2023

Many people do a lot of things to please God. They will go to church every Sunday. They will make prayers of intercession for all kinds of people and situations. They will give their money, time, and energy for the cause of the kingdom. They will serve others in the church and community. Yet, if any of these good things are done without faith—it doesn’t please God. Without faith it’s impossible fo...

God Has Not Forgotten Us 14.08.2023

Have you ever had a time in your life when you felt like God has forgotten you? Perhaps you’ve lived a faithful life before the Lord and suddenly things have fallen apart. Sometimes it could be trial with an enormous impact and disruption to your life. You’re looking at all the broken pieces and wondering “Has God forgotten me?” It’s a temptation that will visit all of us at some point in time. We...

What's On Your Mind? 09.08.2023

After many years of playing tennis and watching my children in their sports activities, I’ve realized that athleticism and talent are secondary to mental focus. If I can’t focus my mind to drown out all the other voices, I will lose. In sports they call it the zone. It’s when a player is so focused on the game, they don’t hear the roar of the crowd or any other distractions. If we want to walk in...

After A Fall.... Get Up!!! 07.08.2023

Have you ever fallen in the faith? If you’ve ever said or done things that you’ve regretted, you are in the company of many believers. Many of us have fallen short since salvation and have had to face the consequences of our bad decisions. We have the testimony of falling down, wiping the dust off, and getting back up again. Sometimes we are like the Israelites’ who would follow God, get comfortab...

Get Back To You Part 1 04.08.2023

There have been so many times in my life when I’ve not felt like myself:  ·  I didn’t feel like myself when I was working 80 hours a week at a nonprofit and pouring myself into my career right after college.  ·  I didn’t feel like myself when I was single in my twenties and trying to figure out who I was when everyone around me seemed to be the exact thing I wasn’t: married.  ·  I didn’t feel like...

Praise Him In The Storm 03.08.2023

In 2009 the Christian band Casting Crowns produced a song called “Praise You in This Storm.” I remember sharing with my prayer partners how that song was difficult to sing. It was making a stand to praise God before the storms of life blow us away. The reality of life is that everyone, whether they are a believer or not, will have storms. The overriding difference is that those who belong to Chris...

What To Do While You Wait 02.08.2023

Waiting isn’t much fun for most of us. We don’t like to wait in line, in traffic, or for dinner. Yet waiting is a part of life, and it’s especially a part of our Christian journey. The waiting period is an opportunity for God to stretch our faith in Him. It’s also an opportunity for us to learn the value of perseverance. Waiting isn’t a passive process; rather, it’s an active part of our faith. Ho...

Finish What You Started 01.08.2023

Many people like to make a big deal of a really good idea. Yet the idea doesn’t mean anything unless there is some kind of drive to make it happen. Many of us start projects that we never get around to finishing. Perhaps we don’t finish because we realized early on that it wasn’t our gift. It’s okay as long as we own up to that truth and not make it habit. Sometimes we don’t follow through because...

Find Your A.N.C.H.O.R 21.07.2023

We are living in times of uncertainty on almost every level in our homes, schools, work, and community. Because of the spirit of hatred, self-loathing, and rebellion—many people are taking their pain and spreading to innocent bystanders. In addition, we have new level of negativity and pessimism infiltrated in the hearts of men, women, and children like never before. If we aren’t careful, we can a...

Knocked Down But Not Knocked Out 20.07.2023

But isn’t it good to know that it does not matter how many times we get knocked down, just as long as we get back up again? The good thing about this is the fact that when we do get back up, we may not have our full balance and composure, but just the mere effort of trying to get up grabs God's immediate attention. Our efforts to get up make God sit straight up. Our efforts in trying to get up...

Encouraging Yourself 10.07.2023

Very often, Christians feel down and depressed. This can be for a variety of reasons, such as sin, personal struggles, or even the general state of the world. But regardless of the cause, we need to remember that  God is with us,  and he loves us deeply. In this blog post, we’ll explore some ways to encourage ourselves in the Lord – even when we’re feeling at our lowest point. It means reminding y...

Stop Looking Behind "Part 2 13.06.2023

Moving on is hard, especially when it requires us to leave our place of comfort. It’s easier to hold on to the good than to let go for the better. But if we keep looking back, we will never reach our destiny. We must keep moving forward and not look back. There have been many times in my life when God has asked me to let go of good things for better things. You might ask, well why is it hard to le...

Encourage Yourself 12.06.2023

David found himself in a bad situation—he was being hunted down by King Saul, and then his own men were debating whether to stone him. While they were away, the Amalekites burned the whole city and kidnapped their wives and children. It was a heartbreaking situation for men to return from the battle only to find their own loved ones were in the hands of enemies. In this very tense situation, we le...

Stop Looking Behind 05.06.2023

Can you imagine how difficult life would be if we all walked forward but looked behind us? We would run into doors, buildings, and other people all the time. Our walk from the car to our job would be precarious, and we would get to our desks with bumps and bruises. In the same manner, our Christian journey isn’t constantly looking back and asking ourselves “what if.” This doesn’t mean that we shou...

It's All or Nothing 23.05.2023

When the Israelites set out towards the Promised Land from Egypt, they were encouraged to move forward by the promises of God. During the journey, they faced inward and outward pressure to doubt God and give into their fears. Many did this and were left in the wilderness because of their unbelief. However, there were those who continued to hold out and experience the grace of knowing and seeing Go...

Stuck 22.05.2023

LAMENTATIONS 3:17 Have you ever felt stuck in a bad mood, attitude, or mindset? Many times it’s the little irritants that cause us the most trouble. When we recognize this in our lives, we must look to get U-N-S-T-U-C-K. U – Understand there will be days when we will feel off-kilter. Because we are human, we will have times when we feel low. Yet we don’t want to remain in that state of mind. N – N...

Have you ever had times when you were stumped on what to do? Perhaps a crisis has hit your family and you are unsure of what would be the first right step. Or maybe you find yourself in a quandary in which you need to make an important decision and have no idea what to do. It’s in these moments that we must turn to God for wisdom and revelation. Paul shares with the Ephesians his prayer for them,...

Before You Quit 08.05.2023

All of us have struggled with the option of quitting for an easier ride in life. If you feel tempted to quit, consider Isaiah 41:10. FEAR NOT, FOR I AM WITH YOU. In his first year of track, my son asked me if he could quit. I told him that if I let him quit sixth grade track, he would develop a habit of quitting and eventually quit school, quit working, quit his future wife, etc. Perhaps he wouldn...

Tear Down Your Stronghold Part 2 26.04.2023

Strongholds in our lives don’t build up overnight. Just as it took time to be enslaved, sometimes it takes a little more time for our freedom. Yet if we keep pressing ourselves every day to overcome, we will see improvements. Some of us will experience immediate deliverance and can move forward. Others may take a longer time. However, if we remain focused more on God than our stronghold, it will e...
