After watching the fierce warfare of the dragon and his two beasts unfold against the Lord's people in Revelation 12–13, John now sees a scene of security for the saints in Revelation 14. In Revelation 13:11-18, we follow the second beast who rises from the earth to deceive people into false worship. As invincible as the axis of demonic evil looks, its power is imperfect and under the sovereign control of the God. From the din of battle, comes a call to wisdom discernment (Rev 13:18). Worship the Lamb (777) not the beast of the state and its false prophet (666).
