Edgar Andrews’ Onefootinglory Podcast
Old men are often said to have ”one foot in the grave” but those whose trust is wholly in Jesus Christ for time and eternity are not looking forward to the grave but to glory, for the Bible says that to be ”absent from the body” is to be ”present with the Lord”. At the age of 87, therefore, I have chosen this name for my new podcast which will feature videos of talks, comments and lectures about the Bible and science and also Bible expositions.

It contrasts true shepherding with false leaders, cults, and hirelings who exploit followers. Drawing on passages from John 10:7-30 and Acts, Isaiah, Luke, Romans, Hebrews, and 1 Peter, the message highlights the Father’s love-gift of the flock to...

AUDIO; THE WISDOM OF THE CROSS 04.10.2025 32:24
In 1 Corinthians 2:1–5, Paul intentionally rejects eloquence and human wisdom to preach "Jesus Christ and him crucified." We explore what he meant by his "fear and weakness" when he evangelized Corinth, emphasising his reliance on the Holy Spirit's work and power in creating genuine faith. The message warns us against superficial "conversions" which lack evidence of the Spirit's transforming work...

AUDIO; IS REALITY REAL? 16.09.2025 20:56
In this one-off reading from the author's book "What is Man?" we ask whether reality exists independently of our perception of it. Some philosophers, and notably the late cosmologist Stephen Hawking in his last book "The Grand Design", think the answer is no. In refuting these ideas we show how a coherent biblical worldview grounded in divine inspiration, prophecy, and historical evidence, provide...

PREACHING CHRIST IN THE SPIRIT'S POWER (GALATIANS 7) Video 09.09.2025 28:11
Although Paul did not learn the gospel from the Apostles, the Council of Jerusalem established finally that he preached a gospel identical to that of the Apostles. This "apostolic gospel" had been revealed separately to Paul and the original Apostles, a fact that underwrites it's divine origin. But the success of this gospel depends also on its being preached "not in word only" but in the [power o...
