When we study the Exodus, we’re not just studying the exit of the Israelite people from Egypt. We’re studying the foreshadowing, the pointing to Jesus dying and providing our freedom known as salvation / rescue from sin. As we enter this Thanksgiving season, we should thank God for the sacrifice of Jesus, which led to our freedom from sin.

As Jesus followers, we often live well below our potential and may not always see ourselves as we should - empowered representatives of Jesus. Rather, we can see ourselves as inadequate or unqualified, unable to serve in the way Jesus expressed with His words. Let’s lean into the conversation between God and Moses and find parallels for our lives today.

We all face hard times. These moments or seasons in life can be overwhelming, difficult to deal with, and even be lengthy or chronic. In the middle of these times of life, it’s important for us to remember the promises of God, who God is, His heart for us, and what He can do in our lives.

As we finish up "THE CHURCH" series, we look at some warnings, encouragement and reasons why being committed to Jesus is so important.

Our commitments today impact our personal futures, as well as the futures of our kids, and the future of the Church in America. What can we do to make sure that the future is positively impacted by the Church (us).

We don’t cease to be The Church for 6 days and 23 hours a week. Ministry is not just what happens on a Sunday, Wednesday, in a special group, on a team, during an event, or from a platform. The Church is to be active - but not just in gathering together. We are Christ representatives to this world and God’s desire is for ministry to flow through us every day!

When we talk about serving God and serving others through the local church and in our lives, we’re really focused on one main question: Are we contributors to God’s work or consumers of God’s work?

Oftentimes, when people hear the word, “church,” they think of a building with a Cross or a steeple. Or, they think of “going to church,” attending a local church campus. The Church is much more than a place. The Church is people - Jesus followers. This week, let's look at the importance of community in our lives what it looks like regarding the church. .

How does this happen? How can people be so easily deceived? How can a person move from following Jesus to abandoning Him?
