How could someone come to the place of rejoicing when suffering? How could someone be so courageous in the face of threats? In this message, Pastor Chris talks about the response of the first century Church to increasing opposition and persecution. Acts 5:17-42

Acts 4:32-5:11 NLT Do you live with a reverence for God? Do you live by practicing honesty? Do you live to impress God more than to impress people? Join Pastor Chris as he continues to teach us from the example of the first century Church.

The first century Church provides many examples of how to live - in Christ-centered community, in prayer for courage and boldness to share the Word of God and personal testimonies, and in the power of the Holy Spirit. Join us in Acts 4!

Where are you with Jesus? Do you have a deep, ongoing relationship with Him? Is your allegiance to Him? Join us in Acts 4!

The Holy Spirit helps us to see and seize the opportunities around us every day. Are you expecting those opportunities? Join us in Acts 3!

The Holy Spirit works in so many ways in the life of a Jesus follower. The power of God changes lives. The Holy Spirit also helps us to see the people and needs around us. People need what only God can do!

Storms are a part of life. Sometimes, it can even seem that it’s one storm after another. Jesus is not shaken by the storms we face. Jesus is with us in the storms.

It’s time for the Church to wake up, grow up, look up, and lift up. To live a life of love and devotion to God, to grow to maturity in Christ, evidenced by love and service, to look up at what’s / WHO is around us, and to lift people up from where they are to Jesus.

The mission of God was so much bigger than they could imagine — and it all started on the Day of Pentecost.

God can do powerful work when we give Him time and space in our lives.

Youth Pastor Cynthia Ortega gives a positive, encouraging message to our outgoing High School Seniors, that is applicable to all ages!

The book of Acts has an open ending. There’s no “and they all lived happily ever after". The book of Acts is not just an account of history. We have the book of Acts to inspire a continuation of Jesus’ mission and ministry in our lives today!

God has called us to make an impact in our world. We are called to seek and save the lost. We are called to make a difference. Guest speaker Amber Cleveland.

In this series, we have discussed knowing that there will be troubles, tests of our faith, opposition, persecution... plenty of potential for discomfort. With all the bad news, let's wrap up this conversation together with some good news... God is still God!

We’re reminded that troubles are a reality. We shouldn’t fear suffering for Christ.

We shouldn’t be surprised by the craziness we see happening on this earth, Jesus said this would be the case. Our tendency is to have fear and anxiety. Our hope lies in Jesus, not in the world. Let the discomfort of the world point us to the Comforter of our hearts and minds.

We like comfort. We crave comfort. BUT... what if comfort is not always best for us? The goal in this multi-week conversation is to help you grow more comfortable with being uncomfortable.

How do we recognize if we have forsaken our first love and what can we do about it??

In a world full of gods, gurus, and good people… why would anyone choose to follow Jesus?
