Grace, not to be taken for granted - Pt 2

Grace.

RACISM... SEXISM... AGEISM... ISOLATION... INSULATION... SELF SUFFICIENCY... are all forms of DIVISION; yet God has made us ONE in Christ.

The glorious work of God, alone, converting from death to life.

Prayer and Power, often considered individually and yet undeniably linked. In these verses we see how knowledge of God's word is to be integrated with prayerful reliance upon the Holy Spirit, if we are to see an unhindered display of the 4 types of great power spoken of in v19.

God had a purpose for Paul's life that was unthwartable, unstoppable. God's purpose for us is no different, Yet do we desire God's purpose? Do we get discouraged when things are not going well?

Prophecy is something taught in scripture, experienced by the early church and presented as something we as Christians are to engage with and even desire. It is clear that God loves and wishes to speak to His children, and has determeined that Prophecy is one means by which He does that.

Paul is on trial for the third time, yet he doesn't complain and is never consumed with his own agenda, but is always focused on the kingdom of God and the gospel. May we as believers be encouraged by his faithful commitment.

Paul The Apostle is on Trial being treated like a criminal, yet he is not guilty. It's the same thing that happened to The Lord Jesus and will possibly happen to us as modern day Christians, yet who is actually on trial? who is innocent and who is really guilty?

Like a Juggernaut that cannot be stopped The Gospel keeps on moving. We must keep this in mind lest we become discouraged by the persecution, challenges and trials that we face.

Paul says in v13 of chapter 21...I am ready to die for the name of The Lord Jesus....Can we as disciples say the same thing?

The Lord Himself calls us to follow Him, but not how we want to, but how He wants us to. He calls us to deny ourselves, to take up our cross and follow Him.

Throughout history we see God leading His people into and out of tough experiences in their lives, that they might be strengthened in Him and that they might see His amazing glory.
